If you have no social skills and approach anxiety, you're still going to struggle to meet women.

Yeah, you'll get 'attention' from massage girls, bar girls and prostitutes. But other than that, you'll probably have to make it happen.

Also many people complain about Tinder mostly being full of prostitutes, bar girls and ladyboys also, So, you'll have to deal with all that.

There are hundreds of ways to 'improve your confidence', but I don't think this is one of the most effective.

You’ll actually find you’ll mix with more Americans and Europeans over there than you will Thai. Most English speaking people over there don’t really want to be around westerners unless they’re trying to make a buck outta you.

Focus on practising your social skills in hostels and on excursions. People on those are extremely friendly and this’ll help your confidence a lot.

Yeah go to Thailand try to pick up non trans chicks and the best part is, if you get rejected, 0% chance you’ll ever see those women again. I think it’s a great idea and I’ve had plenty of friends that went there and had a great time. The only bad stuff I’ve heard is the quantity of trans men flirting and touching etc.

It will be easy mode and might help boost your confidence. You might also be very depressed and bitter when you return to the West and find less attractive women are rude and hard work work after your experience in Thailand.

Its a great place to travel to in general. Very high quality of life for low cost.

By going you will increase your status when you return as you will have travel stories. Do as many adventurous things as possible there.

Be wary that you might get "sexpat" comments when you return. Do not ever bring up the women there when talking about it IRL. Just talk about adventures you went on and how you stayed in 5 star resorts for cheap and all the scenery and beaches and food.

There’s going to be a language and culture barrier to some degree, so I suspect it won’t be that easy to pick up girls who aren’t sex workers. If you’re struggling with anxiety, honestly I’d say spend that money on therapy. As someone who’s dealt with anxiety, the thing to understand is that it’s not rational. Confidence isn’t the antidote. Recognizing anxiety for what it is and having ways to step outside of that feeling are much more powerful.

Interesting thought, yes you will definitely get female attention but bare in mind it’s out of necessity rather than their own genuine desire for you, you’re better off honing your pickup skills in real life. It’s a great idea. You’ll begin to understand women way better. And also, your fear of them will just disappear. The women over there are no different than the women in the west. Only over there, you’re high value as a western guy.

Your mindset will open up to what the few high value men in the west get to experience with western women. The Thai women will treat you like a king, but treat their own men like shit. And guess how western women treat western men, like shit (unless you’re high value).

It’s not just a fuck trip, you’re right. It’s something far more unhealthy for the soul: an ego trip. That’s not to trash on ego because you need it for self-esteem, but you don’t want to use others, particularly women, to bolster it because that won’t substantiate your ego. It will only apply a band-aid on a wound that you need to tend to on your own with, at most, the indirect help from others because it is a personal journey. Not one your therapist can directly fix for you but merely point you in the right direction. There are things you can do closer to home that are healthy for the ego: make friends, acquire new hobbies, converse with females the same way you would with males, throw out any expectation you have when approaching others (especially of the opposite sex), and in general just learn to appreciate humanity and explore things you like or may like to do. These women and sex workers know you’re just there for a band-aid and they’re making a living off that, and people ITT rightfully think it is acceptable yet laughable that you need to execute said plans to substantiate your ego because it won’t. You’re, IMO, going in the wrong direction and quite literally hundreds of thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean in the wrong direction. Before you tell me it’s not about ego, your OP has something far more concerning written in it than anything else: “Americans are rock stars over there” and while you many denounce that as a general statement it was written in the OP for a reason you probably aren’t comfortable enough to share with an online community. Visting Thailand is nothing bad per se. it should be a interesting country that is my bucket ist to travel as well.

But I never got it how visting a poor country is going to boost the confidence of shy guy? How is going to help in the long term? It might be fun for these guys to get the attention of women due their money and/or their exotic look but that's usless. As soon as these guys are going back home nothing has changed.
