I'm going to do this too. My first time I ever approached a girl was with a compliment. She was a 10. I couldn't believe I did it but after a while, it became easier. It's just the fucking number close. This is my main sticky point. I can get to laugh and hold eye contact. I just gotta do it and stop being a little bitch.

I'd say it's better to focus on the process rather than the outcome. E.g. approach 100 girls is a better idea because it's dependent on factors largely within your control.

Also, if you approach a girl, get her Instagram, you have sex, that counts as zero on your challenge?

Your intent is commendable, but I recommend re-evaluating your success criteria and approach to attaining it.

Be carefull though...have you followed the news ? The goverment made some laws against "sexual harassement"...I know it sucks...but now girls have right to say "Ha harassed me"...LMAO

Hollande then Macron...both made those laws...

But still keep going ellections are not far away ha ha

Have you cold-approached before? If not, I think this is a good exercise. If you're already doing this, getting 100 numbers may not be enough of a challenge. Getting numbers is easy. Most women will give you their number if you ask for it, because it's easier to give it away and ignore you than to reject you. And they'll still give you their real number instead of a fake one (fake numbers are exceedingly rare, in my experience), but they just won't respond.

Even if this is new to you, I don't think you need to spend an entire year on just getting comfortable getting numbers. It's really not the hardest part, so if you do it often, you'll probably feel comfortable doing it well before the year is up.

Numbers i’ve noticed 80% of the time lead to no where...i get numbers so easy its the follow up that usually never works out....anybody with good texting game have any advice on how to get the girl to remember you?

This is absolutelyy stupid. Here’s why:

Numbers for the sake of numbers is not seduction.

Girls often give out numbers to guys without any intention of responding.

Having a goal to get a certain amount of numbers by a date is a goal which is out of your control. Every girl you meet could potentially reject you by that time. Even if you are confident and taking action you would fail because your goal is not within your control.

Now that I’ve destroyed the experiment. Let me be constructive and offer an alternative challenge.

Approach 100 girls challenge. By Dec 31st you must approach 100 girls and say something reasonably loud to get their attention and you must not leave unless they leave first or they clearly reject you.

This challenge is within your control, it’s good to build confidence and it doesn’t put pressure on you to seduce or go for a number but still stay In the interaction and let it unfold unless of course the girl is not interested.

Love the challenges but numbers don’t mean anything and this will likely result in tons of weak numbers and flakes.

I’d rather see an 1000 approach challenge. That kind of stuff is how you can get really good and also within your control.

I like the goal however I warn you to be careful that it doesn't limit you or make you feel bad if you don't live up to your own expectations.

Here's how it could be limiting. Maybe the girl is ready for an instant date, or more than that. In those cases it would be best to follow through right then and there. RSD says that a phone number is a consolation prize when you can't make something happen due to logistical or time constraints.

Here's how it could cause bad feelings. If you go out one night focused on getting numbers and not reading IOI's to make things happen then and there you might walk away with no numbers that night while missing the bigger picture. I'd also expand this to any digital connection like Snapchat, Instagram, facebook, etc.... These days a lot of girls are antsy about giving out their numbers and sometimes a percieved safer connection platform is preferred.

Believe it or not 100 connections might be to low of a bar as well. If you're hard core going out to do cold opens 4-5 times a week you could make that many connections in 2 months. I'm limited because I can't go out much (2 times/month) and I'd say that I've interacted with 250 girls since I started working on it in December and I regularly have 20 girls on Whisper I talk to for practice, and now 3 IRL connections that are regular. Getting caught up in metrics isn't helpful though so just be aware.

Good luck with your goal! Honestly I think you'll make your goal in under 3 months if you're out working on cold opens.

This issue is mostly about the actions of the approacher AFTER they have been refused. If they take it poorly and get verbally or physically hostile, why wouldn’t society try to limit theses negative outcomes? Sure, we’d be legislating against a very small percentage of the interactions, but isn’t that what most legislation is about?

I’m a large, older man. I ride the bus. I may make a small joke with a woman about the weather. She may respond. A conversation may ensue. Either of us may ask for the other’s contact information. No harm.

However, my sheer size and any approach may be intimidating to a woman. I’m not talking about her feelings. I’m talking about a dark night, no one around. I approach, she has no idea about my intent. The approach could be triggering. The fight or flight response creates physiological changes to her heart rate, breathing, perspiration. She is on guard because she has to be on guard! Her physical and emotional security depend on it.

Now, imagine this happens to you every day. Twice a day. Some men would say it is a complement to the woman. Some women would say this is not something they should have to endure. I can see how a law that limits this type of situation would be welcome.

I imagine it would only be invoked if the approacher was a real problem. You may say that we already have laws that limit harassment and assault. We do. But a law that is drafted to show women that they do not have to suffer this common, everyday occurrence is a victory for women. And it shows men that there are consequences to that approach.

I’d want to read the language in the law to fully understand the intent. Anything that gives my wife, mother, sister, daughter, colleague, neighbour, any woman a feeling of acknowledgement, recognition and safety is something I need to support and speak out for.

Remember, this thread is about a guy setting a goal of 100 cold approaches. Some commenters suggested a 1000 to prove OP’s mettle. Life is not a game. People who feel threatened by nuisance should be protected.

You're not 'staying respectful to girls' if you're treating them like an objective for you to complete, like a quest in a video game. You want to collect things? Find some objects to collect, in that case.

Change this "100 Number Challenge" to the "1 Relationship Challenge" (sex is only a bonus, it's not needed, you know this right?) otherwise you're not a real man. Real Men have relationships.
