Idk about professors, but this is definitely true with lawyers and doctors in my experience! I think those professions can be so difficult to get into that it mostly attracts individuals with machiavellian personalities and narcissism.

Edit: personally I don’t have any experience dating professors, so I’m not disagreeing either. I’m sure they’re no better

In my experience, treating me to dinner was never an issue for rich men (whether they were rich because of their careers or because of their family). Even my friend’s mother’s boyfriend is a lawyer and he treated all of us to a seafood lunch!

I’ve dated men from all employment backgrounds (from warehouse worker to banker) and the only one who stood out as a cheap ass was the cop (I also do not recommend dating cops. Some of them are scrotes who have access to everything meaning they can stalk you at the drop of a hat. If you get into a relationship with one and are abused, they know where all the women’s shelters are and can easily hunt you down. Not to mention, they routinely cover up their own and their fellow cops’ crimes)

In my experience, many of the cheap asses I’ve met, I’ve spoken to online. It’s like a prerequisite for them to invite women out for coffee.

lol, nope. My experience has been all over the place. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, assistant principals, students, musicians, etc. I get a strong vibe off the stingy LVM that's completely unrelated to their jobs or how much money they make.

I've found that a lot of wealthier guys are lvm, low effort. An ex of mine actually said if I want to go to a date at a restaurant, I would have to pay the entire bill to prove that I'm not "after his wallet" because I made significantly less than him. I've found that warehouse workers and some tradesmen put in the most effort, generally speaking from my own experiences.

I refuse to date lower or significantly higher than my own tax bracket. The wealthier guys generally tend to act like they own you or you're after their money, and the lower income bracket has a tendency to mooch as far as lvm's are concerned.

Job does not matter, what matters is how they were raised and their social circle, ie how used they are to spending money to actually enjoy life. Buying themselves toys doesn't count but if they're used to spending while they're hanging out and in public with friends or family, that seems to be less of a big deal and transfers to dating.

Lawyers seem like a wild card because they HAVE to spend to go to lunches and functions and dress nicely. It's how they become successful literally by networking socially. So if they're a cheap lawyer they sound like a stupid one- or they're dating 5 women at once and can't afford to treat you all well.

Haven’t found it to be correlated with job but certainly think some racial/ cultural backgrounds are more generous than others. I.e I’m arab and arab men never expect you to pay, white men are stingy af

Money hoarding is a thing. There are loads of rich people who live like paupers. I think it often happens in people transitioning income classes.

Tbh, it happened to me. I spent so long thrifting so I could buy my house that I forgot how to spend money for fun.

I think it if you meet them in real life, this isn’t an issue. I’ve dated a few doctors and attorneys and they haven’t been cheap at all. I also met a few on OLD and honestly, they’re giant losers. They are the guys who can’t approach a woman in real life.

Definitely true with lawyers. Avoid avoid especially criminal lawyers.
