Except they aren't. And the part of the problem that you're ignoring is the part where women not only deny that men have problems, some shared some not, but also deny that women have a sturdy hand in causing those problems.

I do so enjoy these types of claims because it illustrates just how little feminists think of women. According to the author, in thousands of years of civilization women played absolutely no part in forming societal norms or customs. They were the ultimate objects, unable to affect the world around them, at the mercy of the men who lorded over every facet of their lives to keep them in check.
I wonder if these people realize the gravity of the insult they are paying women of the past with this type of narrative. They completely ignore and trivialize any contribution women gave to society, good or bad, instead alleging that they were completely helpless and unable to mount any kind of resistance to what must have been absolute hell for them. At least, until feminism miraculously came along and suddenly gave women a collective backbone.
[–]Crimson_D82 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If half the shit they said were true there would be no feminist movement because every time a women thought differently than her husband she would be beaten until she couldn't see straight. If she tried running she would be hunted down with dogs and GPS trackers and beaten; if not put down for being "rabid."
The very fact they can stand up in public and spout this shit is proof they are WRONG.
Q: What do patriarchy and the tooth fairy have in common?

As for patriarchy... I've had this discussion a few times with feminists, and they can never seem to decide on a definition.
If you want to define patriarchy as simply:
The majority of positions of power are filled by men BECAUSE they are men.
Well that's just simply not true. There is no policy somewhere that states that only men can become senators or congressmen, or ceos.
Also, at least for politicians... the majority of the voting population is female, which brings us to our next point.
People who use this assume that because men are in power, they will always choose to further other men's power at the expense of oppressing women. Well... considering every single bill that has ever been passed to grant females rights, or more power, or shit like that has been passed by a majority male congress/senate.... well, that's obviously bullshit, because to assume this, means you have to assume that the majority female voting population, is actually voting against their best interests.
Now for CEOS... if it's shown that women really are being passed up for promotions because of their gender, then that is a problem, and that should most definitely be fixed... but this is something that affects such a tiny small subset of the population that to try and use it to show a gender-bias in overall society or to state "all men are privileged" is just completely asinine.
Then we have the next definition:
The majority of positions of power just HAPPEN to be filled by men.
And this is just completely meaningless... because it doesn't actually make a statement. I could say "The majority of teachers are female... therefore school is matriarchal", and it would mean fuck all. Now if I go into WHY this is the case, then maybe it represents a problem there... but it's not automatically indicative of a problem.
Now the most meaningful (and false) definition is:
Patriarchy is a system where all men oppress women to gain power for themselves.
If this form of patriarchy "hurts men"... then it's a fucking oxymoron and obviously doesn't actually exist.
Really this all comes from the fact that feminists are EXTREMELY sexist. They use the fact that you are (or may be) a man to make 50 judgements about you, and how you will act almost immediately... and in many cases, these judgements are just projections of their own behavior. I've actually seen stupid posts that say "I need feminism, because when I ask to see the manager, he'll probably be a man". Saying this ASSUMES that just because he's a man, he obviously doesn't care about the best interests of his customers, and will simply disregard them if they are a woman, or favor them if they are a man. Again... making assumptions based on gender with absolutely no fact.
[–]loose-dendrite 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
People who use this assume that because men are in power, they will always choose to further other men's power at the expense of oppressing women.
This is the definition of Patriarchy I use to disprove because it's the most likely to be true and actually mean oppression. Some feminists call gender roles Patriarchy but that doesn't mean oppression. Some feminists call Patriarchy a literal conspiracy by males to oppress women, which is so painfully obviously false that it doesn't bear exploration.
Now if I go into WHY this is the case, then maybe it represents a problem there... but it's not automatically indicative of a problem.
I like to ask feminists how they can believe that tall people are oppressing short people since males in power correlates but so does tall people in power. What they've done is found a plausible theory and went straight to believing it instead of trying to disprove it.
I agree. It's sad that young people who want to make the world a better place get roped in by bigots since feminism's the only game in town.

The man paying for the date thing. Could that stem from times when women weren't really allowed to have higher echelon jobs and thus make less money than men? As such, men would have to pay for the dates as they were simply the ones who could generally afford it better?
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
In more general terms I would say it is about the role of men as providers and the role of women as coveted indisposable objects that men should compete over.
[–]loose-dendrite 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That feels like the wrong hypothesis. We're talking about something that started in the industrial revolution, right? When women started working at factories instead of farms.
Young women did have money but were paid way less than men. But did men have jobs too? I never did learn about male history during this time. Odd as that sounds.
So why did it start?
[–]giegerwasright 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes. This is left over from the time when men had to demonstrate their wealth to impress the woman and the family enough to secure their blessing for nuptuals. This is a remnant of a time when women were seen as no inherently better than children.
They certainly don't behave any better than children these days. But it isn't inherent.
[–]THEAdrian 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
On the subject of the last point. Men do not do this to guilt-trip the woman into having sex, they do it because they believe they will be immediately removing any possibility of any sexual encounter, whether a kiss, sex, or relationship, if they fail to do so. It is an expectation, not some kind of a trick.

So wait a minute... She acknowledges that both men and women suffer from gender roles and sexism. But all of this stems from the "patriarchy". What is the patriarchy? It is the narrative that only women suffer from sexism and that this is a direct result of opression by men, whom do not suffer from sexism. So the fact that men suffer from sexism is born of the "fact" that they don't. I don't think I could tie such a knot of non-logic if my life depended on it. Bravo!

It's a rhetorical device known as Framing. It's used to paint men as the instigators of their own downfall, and to paint women as insurmountably oppressed, 100% of the time, regardless of context.
It's a highly offensive deflective tactic which invariably ends up belittling men's issues. Although when they suffer from such extreme confirmation bias, it's difficult to really argue with them. As I'm sure most people here know, pointing out the flaws of such a position to a Feminist is pretty much futile. They will just continue to chant the same mantras without using anything independent of their ideology to back it up, much less factual.
It's like when Christians use Bible Quotes in an attempt to prove the Bible's veracity. It's pathetic if you ask me.

This is the most important bit to remember. A lot of supposed feminist sympathy for men is just victim-blaming, using the concept of "patriarchy" to conflate victimized males with their victimizers.

In all seriousness, almost everything feminists object to can easily be spun as misandry. Slut-shaming? That's because people think men are dirty and polluting. Feminism is a shit test writ large upon society. It's women stamping their feet because they want all the good aspects of society without the negatives. An example is they want unchecked hypergamy while not being held accountable for their indiscriminate sexual behavior. An example is they want society to be more liberal where it suits them, but keep traditional privileges (eg chivalry). The list goes on and on...
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It was feminist activism that introduced the presumption of maternal custody
Women as caretakers is a very, very old tradtional gender norm, and is the kind of thing feminists would fight, not support let alone "invent".
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You don't know what you are talking about.
Prior to the activism of Caroline Norton in the 1800s in the event of divorce the presumption was that the husband got custody. Caroline Nortons activism lead to the introduction of the presumption of maternal custody in the form of the Tender Years Doctrine. Today, feminist lobby groups and jurisprudence control divorce and family law and are whats blocking reform to a presumption of shared custody. This is where feminism and fathers rights clash.
Follower feminists typically don't understand this and believe that family law and custody problems for men are rooted in "teh patriarchy".

This really tells me that 'patriarchy' has no explanatory power. If it can mean anything, then it is meaningless. Maybe we should stop using that term.
Gender attitudes are the problem in all the cases this person cites. The great thing about a term like 'gender attitudes' is it explains the problem and offers suggestions on how we might fix it. Citing 'patriarchy' does neither of those things.
[–]DavidNatan 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
All of this is absolutely true, except the part where it says we shouldn't blame women for being dicks, because of a blood-curse our patriarchal forefathers passed onto their sons.
If anything feminists are excusing themselves with patriarchy, which is pretty ironic.
When a man fucks up, it's his fault, and even if he doesn't fuck up he's a potential rapist.
When a woman fucks up, it's society's fault, patriarchy's fault, men's fault. Anything but her fault. You'd think feminists themselves hold the belief that women are helpless, blameless victims of their environment.

"The belief that all men are rapists is caused by the misogynistic belief that a woman who is quick to trust a man is asking for it."
No, it is caused by a long-running ascetic/Platonic tradition which sees (specifically male) sexuality as vile, debased, animalistic, subhuman, bestial, violent and predatory. This tradition has deep roots in our civilization (Christianity clearly reinforces it.. Augustine of Hippo bought into it), and in the recent times has been reinforced by some feminists (Dworkin and MacKinnon among them).
"All men are rapists" is a proposition about male sexuality's innate nature. It isn't premised on a view of women.
In general, "women must be protected" isn't premised on "misogyny" (hatred of women as a class). One protects that which one values. The effects are detrimental to women, sure, but that doesn't mean the underpinning attitude is anti-female.
I've noticed that some feminists will alternate between defining "misogyny" as either "misogynistic premises" or "negative impact on women," depending on which works best for their argument. Please: use consistent criterion for "misogyny."
But let's see... if the "patriarchy" so often backfires against men (i.e. has detrimental-to-men consequences), then why isn't this misandry? If either "negative attitude towards women" OR "negative effects on women" constitute misogyny, shouldn't either "negative attitude towards men" OR "negative effects on men" constitute misandry?
And if that is granted, then how is the "patriarchy" (which, as the linked argument shows, 'backfires' against men) not misandric?
[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Everything Men’s Rights Activists label as “female privilege” is really patriarchy backfiring against men. The gender-specific rule that men shouldn’t hit women is caused by the misogynistic belief that women are fragile. The belief that men can’t be raped is caused by the belief that men always want sex and the belief that men must always be strong, which are the same gender norms that enable men to sexually harass women. The belief that all men are rapists is caused by the misogynistic belief that a woman who is quick to trust a man is asking for it. The belief that statutory rape is worse with an older man and a younger woman than with an older woman and a younger man is caused by the misogynistic belief that society must protect female virginity. Custody favoring the mother is caused by the misogynistic belief that taking care of the kids is a woman’s job. The fact that only men can be drafted is caused by the misogynistic belief that women are too weak for combat. Also, most feminists are against the draft. The belief that the man must pay for the date is caused by the misogynistic belief that women are helpless and need men to do everything for them, and it’s often used as a way to guilt-trip her into having sex. Feminists don’t support any of those. All of those are caused by patriarchy. Men’s Rights Activists can stop blaming feminists for the problems that patriarchy causes.

The issue here is not that men shouldn't hit women, but rather, that women can hit men with impuninity, even maiming them. Now, could this be related to the perspective that women are fragile and weak? For sure, but the issue is primarily rooted in men being obliged to take whatever women can dish out due to things like modern gender laws and a whole fucking chunk of society being willing to jump to women's rescue without a moment's thought while operating with the modus operandi that whatever a man did to be harmed is his own fault.
Can we trace such origins to patriarchal, women-helpless/men-evil beliefs rooted in female inferiority? Most likely. Is this the modern cause in the west? No.
This does not follow at all. The belief that men cannot be raped is due to the very concept of rape being defined for centuries as a crime against women/required being penetrated, but it is more primarily rooted in the above, where any harm done to a man is most likely due to his own lack of vigiliance, neglience, or possibly commupence. Look at any article describing a woman attacking a man brutally, and the bulk of responses will be "He probably deserved it/pissed her off."
No it's caused by decades of feminist activists painting them as rapists and of stranger danger fearmongering . That feminists may have used their perspective that society victim blames female rape victims is pretty much irrelevant here, as they were the direct cause.
Hey, one I agree with (kind of), but it's caused by the belief that female bodily integrity is of the utmost importance, especially compared to men, whose bodily integrity matters just around as much as it doesn't provide a hindrance to them working if it's damaged in some way.
No it's caused by the tender years doctrine and the belief that all men are abusers who are using custody battles to actively harm women and children.
No it was caused by active campaigning of the suffragettes that putting women in these roles was barbaric, and that society would actively flip its shit if the amount of women whom died in combat was anything close to the amount of men.
Yeah not really. Like, at all. It's caused by the relationship dynamic that requires men to prove themselves to women while dating. That someone could actually think men and society in general think women are so helpless and crippled that they can't pay $20 for sushi is fucking absurd.
and it’s often used as a way to guilt-trip her into having sex.
Special attention needs to be given

"Patriarchy" is the swiss army knife of words of blame in the modern world. It doesn't matter what the problem is, patriarchy is to blame. It's simply a defection tecnique to keep women as a whole, or individual women from being rightfully blamed for a specific problem.
Partiarchy, male, maleness, men, masculinity, a system of male dominance, etc = the devil.
Woman, female, femaleness, feminine, womanhood, girl, etc = goddess in the flesh.
This is the promoted ideology in the western world that shapes all our laws, social actions, education and societal norms. The devil, (anything to do with man) can never be good or righteous. The goddess, (anything to do with woman) can never be anything but good and righteous.
Shame tactics; because they have no real argument.

So has yours. Post in /r/Feminism and say "I'm a mra and I want to have a discussion" and then post in /r/MensRights and say "I'm a feminist and I want to have a discussion"
Some of those are hilariously ironic because yeah, they're right, even though they're trying to sound sarcastic and ridiculous.
Others are just like "mens rights matter because I want to be able to rape everyone" and are really sickening.

So because you want to fight against the patriarchy should you not believe and fight against these things? This has to be the stupidest thing I have seen all week even at the basic form it is illogical. So in other words the writer fails at basic freaking reasoning and logic skills.
[–]unexpecteditem 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes. Either we call these things "patriarchy", in which case we are all against them, or we call them something else, in which case we're entitled to say that they hurt men.
"Everything... female privilege....is just the patriarchy backfiring on men"
Oh, so that somehow means it's not female privielge? Patriarchy and men are the source of female privilege!
[–]ItalianRobot 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
While there is some truth behing these (espicially if you replace partriarchy with misogny), but we don't blame feminists for it. The problem with this is that feminists believe that they are fighting for men's rights when thet aren't, Im not condemning them for not fighting for men's rights Im condemning them for claiming to. And she also seems to skip over the fact that these are also caused by misandry.
[–]YetAnotherCommenter 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's because far too many feminists believe in what I call "primal misogyny." Specifically, they reduce all gender oppressions down to misogyny. According to this worldview, all misandry must be no more than a consequence of misogyny.
Allowing misandry to exist and be just as fundamental as misogyny is dangerous to this attitude.
[–]OuiCrudites 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"These things aren't the fault of Feminism, even though many feminists reinforce the laws and attitudes that cause them. It's the fault of something that hasn't existed in the West for at least 75 years, if it ever existed."
She needs to check her privilege! !
[–]ExpendableOne 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
wow, this is hilarious. I mean, not only is she still completely off base in nearly every single one of these issues or misguided in thinking that "just because there is misogyny, it's patriarchy", she actually completely dismisses the reality of misandry and actually goes on to claim that "feminists don't support these things"... BULLSHIT! Not only do they support these things when they are convenient to them but they have also, whether as individuals or as a movement, never actually ever opposed any of these issues either. More often they have actually defended those examples of misandry against the efforts of men's rights advocates. The very act of undermining these issues and dismissing misandry is, in of itself, a blatant example of "feminists" actually making the problem worse and/or showing a pretty obvious bias against men.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is obviously not true. For example the rape hysteria in the USA was directly caused by feminists spreading myths that 1/4 - 1/2 of women will be raped. The expansion of sexual harassment and rape definitions to normal conduct was also directly caused by the actions of feminists (especially Catheirne MacKinnon imo).
Also it would be very hard to argue feminists were not involved in the passage of VAWA.

Everything MRAs label as "female privilege" is really patriarchy backfiring against men
That doesn't mean it isn't privilege. That's like saying "oh it's not an advantage for me, it's just a disadvantage for you". Those things are the same, and it's a rhetorical misdirection which continues to maintain this notion that women are not privileged in some ways.
All of those are caused by patriarchy
You can't just claim this. You have to demonstrate it, which means that if you're going to infer cause from result, you can't do so without ruling out other possible causes, or you're invoking the affirming the consequent fallacy
[–]Gia_1988 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is wow until I get to the last paragraph. Lost me when blame switched hands and offered no solution. Edit: forgot a word
[–]PinheadXXXXXX 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I disagree with these ideas; female privilege is caused by feminists, not by the patriarchy. But in the grand scheme of things, this is really a useless thing to argue about. We should really work to eliminate these problems rather then arguing that some people support mens right's issues for the wrong reasons. We should be content that some feminists support our goals at all.
[–]Victory_Disease 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You know if these were the other way around there's no way that anybody would call them "misandrist." It's ridiculous. "Men murdered at 4 times the rate of women, must be because of misogyny!"
Also some of these are actively wrong, "all men are rapists" and "statutory rape is okay when it's woman on boy" are derived from fucked up ideas about male sexuality, not from anything to do with the womenfolk*.
*: okay, excuses for female child rapists are partially determined by ideas about female sexuality (namely, that female pedophiles are somehow magically different from male pedophiles), but it really has nothing to do with ideas about female virginity.
[–]ThrallThroe 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Let's see feminists get right on correcting these "symptoms of patriarchy" then.
why don't you say misogynistic belief a few more times?
[–]Koalachan 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The whole men not hitting women didn't come about until feminism. Until then, it was the social norm for men to hit women when they didn't fulfill their "role." That's even where the phrase "rule of thumb" is from, that you could beat your wife with a stick as long as it was no thicker than your thumb.
[–]Just_Brad 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I blame feminists for a few harms in our culture, none of them being on that list.
I blame them for pervasive anti-male bias in schools, beginning with primary school. I blame them for a totally stilted, unjust family court system. I blame them for fostering a culture of hate and fear against men via knowing falsehoods.
I think that's plenty right there. The shrill man-hating lies are bad enough, that those lies were and still are being acted upon by policy makers is goddamn shameful.
Paying for dates is a symbolic gesture where men communicate to women that they are capable of providing; i.e. providing for the family and his wife financially. The provider role is an archaic male gender role that women enforce by shaming language such as "cheapskate," or women see the lack of the symbolic gesture as an affront to their sexual self-worth; i.e. not putting her on a pedestal in supplication.
Feminists are against the draft because equality brings responsibility, and feminists know women will be drafted eventually. It's just a defense mechanism, they'd rather have men only drafted and keep their suffrage. Male deaths empower women by destroying male voting power.
Yeah. Except feminism supports all those thing.
When it's convenient.
Stop, please, this post is killing my brain.
[–]iMADEthis2post 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You know what guys, let's all of us call ourselves feminists while at the same time hi light all the inequality within the movement towards men.
After all any woman can call herself a feminist regardless of her views.
"Feminism" itself is a broken term. It's like calling someone European, it gives no indication to what language they speak.
The very name "Feminism" is gendered, yet feminism has been fighting against gendered language for decades. Should they not really be calling themselves "Humanist" or "Equitarian" if they value both sexes equally?

Everything Men's Right Activists label as "female privilege" is really patriarchy backfiring against men
Here first sentence betrays her bigotry. The patriarchy is not a system devised by men at the expense of women, it is system that devised as the best way for humans to survive until the advent of large governments around 1950/60. After that, it was usurped by 'the powers that be' and used to subjugate 99% of the population. Men are harmed as much by the patriarchy as women are. The problem is, Feminism liberates women of the system but not men. Going back to her first sentence, this is the slip all Feminists do; she's basically saying 'men subjugate women, so now females will subjugate men'. Feminists only deal with the part of patriarchy that is harmful to them and leave the parts that are harmful to males alone. To them, when males don't aid Feminists to attack patriarchy, they shame us with the 'losing your privilege' nonsense when it actuality, they want to keep certain parts of patriarchy in place because it benefits them at the expense of men. Feminists are not interested in equality, they just want to control the system for themselves for there own benefit so they can punish men for the perceived crime against them.
Also note, not all females are Feminists, and not all Feminists are females...

Women control the majority of the wealth in the united states.
Women represent the majority of voters in the United States.
Women do 3/4ths of the consumer spending in the United States.'
Women earn the majority of bachelors and postbachelors degrees.
Women outlive men by nearly seven years.
Women are less likely to be victims of crime, far less likely to die on the job, less likely to be homeless, and far less likely to commit suicide.
Women have access to literally hundreds of billions of dollars worth of social spending, scholarships, etc unavailable to men.
What wackadoodle universe do you live in that has a patriarchy, and do people also wear shoes on their hands in this universe?
All you say is true, but...patriarchy is real and must be stopped. Umm..

I dunno maybe the one where I can make more money than a woman for doing the same amount of work, or the one that attempts to squash women's reproductive rights by denying them access to things like abortion, or the one where has never been a female president, or the one where women are treated as sexual objects (see /r/pics), or the one where women are blamed for "inviting" rape because of what they are wearing, or the one where women are underrepresented in board rooms and as CEOs, etc etc etc

Yes, because men have so many reproductive rights.
the one where has never been a female president
Only one has ran, and that is only one political office. Many women are in congress
the one where women are blamed for "inviting" rape because of what they are wearing
Do the rapists not go to jail? Yes victim blaming is asinine but I don't think it contributes to patriarchy
the one where women are underrepresented in board rooms and as CEOs, etc etc etc
Yes, and the majority of nurses are women. I don't see how that is patriarchy

I can make more money than a woman for doing the same amount of work That is based on things such as on average men do more over time
Oh yeah, because women aren't as good workers as men. Oh wait...
the one that attempts to squash women's reproductive rights by denying them access to things like abortion Yes, because men have so many reproductive rights.
Men don't give birth. That is the difference between men and women.
the one where has never been a female president Only one has ran, and that is only one political office. Many women are in congress
Why has only one woman ever run for president? Women are discouraged from seeking positions of power. Women hold 16.8% of seats in congress. Does that sound like an equitable distribution to you?
the one where women are blamed for "inviting" rape because of what they are wearing Do the rapists not go to jail? Yes victim blaming is asinine but I don't think it contributes to patriarchy
Victim blaming is an aspect of patriarchy because it supports the idea that if a women is raped, it's her own fault, not the man's.
the one where women are underrepresented in board rooms and as CEOs, etc etc etc Yes, and the majority of nurses are women. I don't see how that is patriarchy
And most nurses are women because society places women in a caregiving role.
[–]ItalianRobot 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I never said that women weren't as good workers as men, reread it
I see your point, but men shouldn't be forced to father. Just as women shouldn't be forced to mother
It could be that males tend to go for political jobs and females dont. It isn't Patriarchy it is a natural difference between the two sexes
You're confusing the misogny of a few people with Patriarchy
Or it could be that females tend to for nursing jobs and males don't. Gender roles are okay as long as they dont constrain people to the roles. If the majority of women go for caretaking jobs it is because generaly women are better caretakers. It isnt patriarchy
[–]johnmarkley 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
or the one where women are blamed for "inviting" rape because of what they are wearing,
This is the same universe where men and boys are blamed for being raped because they were born with a penis. Such privilege.
[–]dragonfucker 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The reason society doesn't take women raping men seriously is because of the attitude that women are weaker than men. Feminism (not straw feminism but the real kind that supports gender equality) seeks to dispel these destructive ideas about gender roles. That is why feminists and MRAs should really be allies.

Do you care to give any supporting arguments or evidence for your mere assertions? You should at least try to demonstrate the following points, which were implied by your assertion, in order to be taken serioulsy:
1) Define "patriachy", demonstrate its existance by providing evidence and falsifying alternative explanations. 2) Define "feminism" and demonstrate that this political view is indeed "the best way" to support the rights of men. 3) Provide evidence to your assertion that it is in fact the inability to "reason about gender" present in this subreddit, is a sufficient explanation for this subreddit to not suppoert feminism.
If you fail to demonstrate points one through three, your assertions are nothing more than a story you are telling yourself. And if you dont see this, then you are just irrational.
lol you support the text in the image?
If feminists ever get around to actually supporting "the disestablishment of the patriarchy" instead of just dressing it up in drag, I'll get right on that.
