Apparently in a complete 180, I'm suddenly abusive and drowning in my own SMV. This shit came out of left field. It all came from her reading some article on "abusive men" and apparently I fit the bill for almost every thing on the list since I started "changing"(withholding affection at times, etc). She says what's worse is that I seem to be getting happier with my SMV going up, but hers is going down. Anyway, now she's moving back with her parents so she can have some "space". She stormed out of the room, and went to call her parents. Came out like everything was all good. When I asked what the phone call was about, she's acting like nothing's down. She's like "I'm leaving, blah blah abusive. I told my mom already. Leaving till you notice your abusiveness! That's what the article says, blah blah" Apparently changing for myself is selfish, because I'm not changing for her? "You should want to change for me!! Otherwise if you put yourself first it's selfish."

Anyway after like 2 hours, I'm totally OI, and she comes up to me acting like everything's okay. While I go out grocery shopping she tags along. I'm thinking her shit test is over until she says "there's no point in buying so much food, I'm leaving In two days." I just ignore it and buy what ever I want anyway. If she wants to leave its her loss.

Fast forward to now, I pass a couple more shit test and keep frame. She's kissing me and acting normal, and how she's still leaving for some space. I'm not playing this "I need space" game. No idea if me not playing along with this shit is over reacting, but I already told her. There is no half in half out, she's not bouncing with my son and expecting me to act like her emotional outburst is okay.

Her: "why can't I leave and things stay normal? I just need time so that you can work on being back to normal. I need to escape from this abuse. " Me:"In the past months, I've been working on being a better me. If you don't think these changes are positive and you feel there's something worth escaping from then that's unfortunate. I want only what's best for the family, but your free to leave since you don't see it that way. I won't change your mind, since you have a right to make your own decision."

The point of all of this is that now, she comes up to me and says "I would stay but the tickets are not refundable." What the hell kind of "I would but I can't because I left my stove on" excuse is this? Anyway, I'm just looking for a discussion here.

I can see how TRP can be seen as abusive on paper. Like she was going down the article stating these things, but how can they be abusive when she likes them and is responding well to them. Any input on the idea of this situation?
