I think the disagreement here stems from two different meanings of (or two different interpretations of) the word "asshole". I think /u/ghost521 believes you are implying he's an asshole as a semi-permanent character trait, whereas /u/earthleague is saying that certain subjective contexts can come clear enough to scrub the asshole accusation from someone who is displaying asshole behavior.
I don't really side one way or the other, but I think there's merit to the idea that if I harm someone's brother, I'm the asshole, and if he harms me for doing that, he's probably not really an asshole in that situation.

It might lead to him being insecure about his weight, and that probably would make it very hard for him to do something about it in future.
