I have no idea where to go with this, and made a throwaway for obvious reasons.

I use to work at a Subway in Maryland for over a year. On a daily basis I had to deal with my sexist, manipulative, and biased boss.

During my time working there, she always made "jokes" about how men suck at doing this, and how all men do that. She constantly went on about how she should only hire women specifically because "every male that has worked here has been an awful worker" which was far, far from true. I never took what she said to heart, because she was obviously just an idiot.

Out of the workers there, the females getting promoted were lazy, disrespectful, and didn't listen. Now, there were girls that worked there that were very hard workers, but the one's getting raises of any sort were constantly texting in the bathrooms and freezers for 15 minutes straight, always trying to do the least amount of work possible, and had some of the shittiest closes I've seen in my life. It's like she was intentionally promoting the worst workers.

Me and my male coworkers, on the other hand, had to work our asses off just to gain our bosses favor. I did everything the way corporate wanted it, I had perfect closes, and I'd do all the work of a team leader WITHOUT getting a raise. I was once forced to come in when there was 3 feet of snow outside, or was threatened to lose my job. It was hell.

Eventually, I quit. I maintained friends at the store and get frequent updates every weekend from them. Recently (out of 1,000 other fucked up things such as underage males and females closing by themselves all the way to the owner refusing to take out federal taxes on checks) I found out that the owner and regional manager have a new rule that they are hiring FEMALES ONLY.

She boasted about getting the owner to agree with her saying "she's been trying for years and now he finally listened".

Just recently, a young adult male called the store asking if they were hiring. The employee replied saying they were, and that he was welcome to put in an application online. Right after, the employee approached the district manager and said (all while avoiding pronouns)

"There was a person on the phone, they were wondering if we were hiring. I really think you should consider them."

The manager replied, "Oh, great! What's their name?"

Hesitant, she answered "His name is David",

In which the manager replied, "Nope." swiveled back to her desk and went back to her paperwork.

I've tried contacting corporate, submitting complaints, but nothing will change. Not only do they refuse to hire males, but they advise their employees NOT to tell applicants about this "policy".

On top of this, they allow underage employees to open/close among a ton of other seriously illegal things. Given Subway is a franchise, I'm sure they could get into a fuck ton of trouble for all of this.

Guys, what do I do?
