I've read several comments in this subreddit about men being banned from feminist discussions "for no reason". I wasn't sure how much faith to put into that, considering that I've seen MRAs take on a very combative and accusatory tone when speaking to feminists. Many MRAs are staunchly anti-feminist and believe every feminist to hate men, intentionally spread lies, etc. (I personally don't believe this), and I expected some of those bans might have been for good reasons.

So anyway... I've been trying to learn more about the opinions of others and in particular the reasons behind their views, ranging from Red Pill subscribers to dedicated feminists.

Recently I've been browsing /r/askfeminists and reading the content in the sidebar. Their explanation of why Legal Paternal Surrender is a bad idea didn't make much sense to me. It implied that it's a human right to be supported by two incomes as a child, and that the only valid reason for an abortion is that you don't want to physically undergo the pregnancy (as opposed to not wanting/not being ready for children). I was hoping for some of those things to be clarified, and created this post.

I was completely respectful and went in there with an open mind, willing to learn. I explained my way of seeing things, and asked to be informed about theirs. After a handful of productive responses, this arrives in my inbox...

you've been banned you have been banned from posting to /r/Feminism: Feminism.

you've been banned you have been banned from posting to /r/AskFeminists: Ask Feminists!.

I guess those guys weren't exaggerating after all.
