CMV: N count of 1 is the worst

The reason being, not always of course but most of the time, it means that he/she is emotionally broken and can't get over her/his ex to the point he/she has hard time to form a new emotional bond with someone and it usually takes much time to forget about ex partner (if ever).

Are you actually arguing about how bad it is for a person to have a N of 1? It seems like you're arguing about people who have "oneitis" so badly that they're incapable of letting the past go and are allowing it to destroy their chances at a new relationship.

My N is one, but that's because I'm still fucking my original sex partner and haven't had any desire for different dick. So are you saying that men and women who have only had sex with 1 person in their lifetime so far also have "the worst" number? If so, what would be better about our lives just by having 1 more?

from my own (anecdotal) evidence, I only know of two two couples who have an n-count of 1. One of them is due to them being religious and they waited till marriage and the other one are together since they were 16 (now are 30). I don't think I know anyone who has had only 1 partner, broke-up with that partner and never found another relationship again.

N count of 1 with the sole person you love and are married to is ideal scenario.

If someone is happy and confident with their low n-count who cares? I never ever thought of how low or high my n-count was until I noticed the sex obsessed mongrels on this sub feel the need to bring it up daily.

Depends on the person.

I was with my ex-fiance for 6 years. The relationship overran by at least a year. By the end I was very much done and enjoying being single. I've never looked back.

N count of 1 (if it was a LTR) also means the person is able to do relationships and has hopefully learned from the failings of their previous one.

The thing I would maybe be wary of is "I missed out on this things in my previous relationship" casual sex. I definitely did the rebound one off (and didn't enjoy it).

This is like saying people who have only lived in one place are the worst because they can never move again, the memories of home are too strong. People move on whenever something better comes along, that's how people work.

It'd most likely be 1 because someone is young, religious, reserved, low libido, or was in a relationship for a very long time.

For me it was because I was in a relationship/marriage from 16 to 29.

This supposes that the person in question did not break up with the other person. Also supposes that the person in question put a very high value on their virginity. I knew many people in college who broke up with their high school sweethearts, the ones they lost their virginity to, to happily have sex with their new college sweethearts.

That doesn't take into account the individual's ideas about their own sexuality. There's still a significant number of women who feel any sexual activity must be justified by the level of emotional or other significance their partner has in their lives.

It also doesn't consider personalities. Things like shyness, sense of self or other characteristics can make it hard to meet or get close to people without it being related in any way to the first sexual experience.

but, seriously, people should stop thinking about n count. they should learn how to accept being vulnerable. they should learn to be less jealous and accept other people's independence. they should learn to accept that they can't control some things in life. they should accept that people change, including themselves.

Thats a very interesting point i hadn't considered before. It very well could be true that someone is stuck on their "one" and cant get over them.

With that said -- i disagree that it's the worst. 0 is the worst. Someone in their mid 20s or later with 0 is definitely not a normal person, they have either religious hangups, sociosexual hangups etc.

Seeing as most people pass n1 to reach a higher number, clearly other people aren't finding it a dealbreaker. I'd also find it an ideal number to stay at.

More than 10 or 11 is technically worse and it gets worse as it goes up.

Of the lower than 5-bodies women, 2 seems to have the worst outcomes for some reason. But I'm not sure if that number includes the spouse or not.

Either way, it's easier to alpha widow 1 body than a dozen.

This is highly, highly dependent on a number of factors, like age, length of relationship, sexual values and preferences, and time single. If we’re talking about someone who was with one person from let’s say 18 to 25 and is now 30 and still single and never been with anyone else because they’re not over that person, then yes. That’s some major baggage. But it’s just as likely that someone has a n count of 1 because they are young, haven’t had many relationships yet, and don’t want to sleep around.

Meh not really. I only have 1, but I’d have 0 if a girl I knew in HS wasn’t so into me that nothing I did would turn her off and she eventually got me into bed. So many individual courses of events that could lead to someone having only 1 that I would just assume it’s not the worst. 0 is probably worse, and ludicrously high numbers that just keep getting higher are probably worse than that. Even after saying that, ultimately it’s all so individually circumstantial that the question as to exactly what number is worst seems pretty silly to begin with. Ranges like 1-5 10-20 etc. is definitely a better way to do it.
