I dunno, most people react positively to my eat pray love lifestyle where I just move around a lot and bang women opportunistically, if I can convince them to lie with me. People're like oh that's fun, you have a cool lifestyle.

The point of Gilbert's story is that she was married to a man who wanted a family immediately, and she was childfree.

Hence why she has never had kids.

She wasn't casting him off for no reason, she divorced a man where there was fundamental incompatibility, and furthermore part of the celebratory nature of it is that historically women just did whatever the man wanted them to do, irrespective of whether it was in any way in line with what they wanted or envisioned for themselves. The book heralded the dawn of a new age - an end to all of that bullshit.

Eggs are expensive, sperm is cheap, which leads to women are human beings, men are human doings. All else follows from this, and while I honestly do believe that it is theoretically possible to liberate both sexes from the rat race both find themselves in, it is impossible to do so without taking into account the evolved nature of both, and it’s very difficult to do as the evolved nature of the sexes are in many ways in direct competition, making it incredibly difficult for either to relax their preferences for the greater good.

Basically, human sexuality is the oldest game of the prisoner’s dilemma, and the recent developments of urbanization, birth control and internet porn have made the “defect” choice easier for both, and so both sexes are suffering in asymmetric ways.

I don’t know what the long term solution is, but I have a lot of empathy for both sides of the problem, even as I attempt to create the best possible end point for me as a man.

There is no battle of the sexes bro. It's all part of your brainwashing. Women are basically told they have to options in life.

Option #1 is choose the guy you really want to be with and sleep with him just for the pleasure of it without any expectations of being taken care of, taken on dates, etc, and be called a SLUT because you are giving it away for free.

Option #2 go for the guys you don't really like but who have money, cars, means, etc, then play hard to get so they take you out for dinners, drinks and try hard to impress you, and when the man has invested enough in you, give him the only thing you have of value - your sex. But that makes you a WHORE!

So to sum up. If she sleeps with the guy she wants, she is a slut. If she sleeps with the guy that society and her parents are telling her she should sleep, she is a whore.

So when you understand that these are the only two choices a woman has, you will start understanding why they do the things they do. Why they will fuck and alpha who won't stick around and then turn around and find security with a boyfriend/hubby type beta who will sponsor her and pay for her lifestyle.

So liberating women can only benefit men. Of women don't need us for security any more because they can earn their own money and take care of themselves (take responsibility) that also frees men from needing to be sponsors, hubbies and daddies. They can just be alpha guys who do whatever the fuck they want.

I think some people failed to grasp what a storyline is in high school.

When you write a story you need a protagonist, some kind of conflict, etc. What would a storyline with a female protagonist look like if all she did was nothing?

As others have pointed out there are many examples of storylines of the male protagonist doing a different version of the same thing.
