I've been looking through this forum for a while and it's helped in a lot of ways, but I stopped checking it and myself and fucked up. I kind of reverted back to my low self-esteem, craving male validation ways. 🤡

I gave up on dating apps and wasn't trying to meet anyone and then decided to give it one last chance. I met this guy who I clicked with right away... I'm relatively intuitive and there were no alarm bells going off at any point. We went on three dates and we connected so well. He was kind, sweet, respectful and fun to be around. He drove me every time and paid without hesitation. He was super romantic and I really thought I had fallen on a good guy, FINALLY. He also texted me every day (but not too much) just asking how my day was or saying random shit.

After our third date though, we were making out and he tried to take it further but I told him to stop, and he did without trying to make me feel bad about it. But the next day, while we were texting, he asked if I was a virgin to which I said yes...

He basically said that virginity is a huge responsibility and that he can't take it lightly, talking about some "you deserve your promise" - I was actually shocked considering I thought he was genuine. Reading his texts made me feel so low, because I was like... did you do all this shit for sex? How could I have fallen for this? I was surprised that he put in so much time and effort and money if he wasn't truly feeling the connection I felt. I was also angry that he assumed I would lose my virginity to him.

We ended things on "good terms" and he said some bullshit about being friends. I removed him from Instagram and won't be contacting him ever but I can't stop thinking about it or him. Like I feel sad that someone would do this to me. And I feel worse that he isn't messaging me, which I know is completely pathetic.

Please go easy on me, I'm trying to get over it and not criticize myself too much.

Was I being love bombed? He was so complimentary and giving and affectionate and I feel so stupid for not picking up on the fact that things were moving so quickly. I would love to hear some positivity rn.

Also, I think men are starting to clue in that women are no longer willing to put up with LV behaviour and are starting to play the part of a HVM for sex. Which makes everything extra tricky.
