This is pretty funny, to catch who would lie BUT I honestly think you shouldnt have to do this. If he wanted to he would. He should want to do something for you anyway, not only at the threat of competition and if he doesn’t on his own want to treat/spoil you just to make you happy and if he doesn’t then he’s no good.

No it's not genius. If these men were actually worth dating, she wouldn't have to instill a false sense of competition in them to convince them to celebrate the holiday with her.

They should want to do something special for her just because she's special to them, not because they're afraid they'll lose sexual access to her.
