I agree except the man only has relationship options within his sexual options. So his relationship options aren't nearly as abundant as a woman's sexual options.

As a guy with options, you're overestimating women with the focus on relationships. A lot of women just want to fuck or a temporary fling without strings attached. I made the mistake of thinking like this too but women want different things than simply to get married.

When it comes to sex, women have more options.

When it comes to dating and relationships, women also hold the key I think. Women need to say yes to someone for a relationship to start. Often they reject the person.

But men hold the key to marriage.

Women think just cause they got a bf, they won the dating game. They didn't. If they've been dating 2 years without a proposal, or at least confirmed that they will get married, then imo he's not 100% serious about it and he's not convinced she's "the one". He keeps her around for sex and companionship, but he's not sold on the idea that she's the one who's his life partner forever. Keeping her is better than being single, but he still doesn't want to marry her. She's not his perfect 10/10 and if he met someone better, he will go for that other person.

Average women still have the edge as far as relationship options, yeah it'll be sexual but for every 10 guys that want to hook up there's three or four that genuinely would just like to get a chance to know her and possibly be a good boyfriend to her, now she'll probably ignore those guys but nonetheless

The best thing for guys that are in relationships and if those men are of a certain caliber is to remind those women within a relationship that he also has options, as men we pretty much know that if our girl is good looking she's going to have a whole bunch of options but as a man, let a woman know that she's your only option and watch the respect decline lol

Men don't neccessarily have relationship options, it's entirely possible to be without both, as a man.

What is true is that any man that does have sexual options also has relationship options. The gulf between these two things that exists for women does not exist for men.

90+ percent of women in any market have more options than they can realistically handle. They may range from terrible to great, but they are options nonetheless.

80 percent of men have very little to no options. Like 0-1, but mostly zero. Another 10 percent of men have some options, but likely not what they actually want. Think maybe 5 women but they’re all mediocre or have major dealbreakers. Another 9 percent of men have enough to be happy and they are of quality. Think the quarterback with the cheerleader. They’re both attractive and happy with each other.

The top 1 percent of men have everything. They can fuck, have relationships, be polyamorous, marry two different women, have a harem of models….. whatever they want basically

Guys can't go around offering relationships/marriage to women. The woman has to want them for sex first.

So I'd say women have sex options and some guys (the ones selected for sex) have relationship options.

The average man (which most men are) has to go into a relationship for sex. So if your buddies gf is a decent girl most of the men hitting her up will be looking for a long term relationship from her. Are there women who mainly have sexual options sure, but there are women who mainly have relationship options. Obviously the relationship option also comes with sex.

Men can also be used for just sex. An established woman will use a man for sex and not consider him for long term relationship. I knew a pharmacist who came from a UMC background who was sleeping with a cop. She told me that as much as she was attracted to him, he wouldn’t ever consider bringing him home. Their backgrounds were too different. I have another friend who frequently sleep with men who are shorter than her but would never consider a man shorter than her for a ltr.

So you saying that an average man have dozens of woman’s wanting to have a relationship with them and marriage them? I guess that’s totally unrealistic. Actually on my daily I saw things different, woman normally have some male friends that actually would like to have a relationship with them and not just sex, and that’s more uncommon to happen with a man. And ofc for you want marriage a person at least you need to be in any kind of relationship/ courtship with her before (unless you are crazy).

Men will only have relationship options within the women who will have sex with him. It will be delusional for a man to be in a relationship with a woman who wouldn't consider having sex with him, even if she is a virgin. Regardless, women will have abundant options, even after she been ran through. She can give sex to a man who had no options to secure a relationship.

Online dating has tipped the scales in favor of women when it comes to both, but a growing number of women are becoming disillusioned with what they find on OLD.

My position has always been, that a willingness to pursue women using offline methods, shifts some of that power back to men, but you have to have the skills and boldness to do it. Living in a large city, also helps.

Conservative women have relationship options because conservative men are taught to find relationships and marry early.

Liberal women have sexual options because they forgo marriage and often get involved in sex work, hence the practically unlimited supply of male sexual partners.

I say it's women's options because a woman searching for a sexual partner is not going to have a relationship with a man seeking marriage, and a woman seeking marriage is not going to just have sex with a man (even for money, usually).

I only know my own personal situation but I always gatekept relationships.

My requirements/standards for a relationship were a lot higher than for sex. And I made women earn being in a relationship with me.

So in my experience, women gatekeeping sex and men gatekeeping relationships has been spot on.

If men had relationship options, they wouldn’t weep about the friendzone…… unless they finally want admit it IS about sex.

Otherwise, they’d be offering a relationship to the woman they’re pretending to be friends with, and she’d be so desperate for one as all women apparently are, and leap at the chance.
