The topic is about helping underachieving boys. How could anyone involved in academia have a problem with this? Honestly I don't even understand. Even if they believe girls have everything worse than guys, how do they find the justification to troll events that are about things like male-suicide/teen suicide, boys horrendous graduation %, boys dropping college attendance and the like?

This event could be a good opportunity to ask questions and engage in face-to-face discussion. I also think it would be important to attend so that we can see who is behind this group, because they refuse to show their faces to the media.

We need to go into this event prepared with researched questions and facts, so I'd like to meet up with anyone interested in attending the event next Saturday, July 20 at 1 PM at Roast for brainstorming.

Call a non-emergency number and politely notify the police (for when they get violent) and the fire department (for when they pull fire alarms) so they are prepared for what is to come.

Also, set up as many cameras as possible to catch protesters breaking laws and putting people in danger, should you need evidence in the future. Be sure to have surveillance on all nearby fire alarms.

You may also want to contact an attorney for further advice.

Send them a registered letter telling them they are welcome to attend the event and listen to the speaker, but if they do anything to disrupt the event, CAFE and MR Edmonton will attend the next five events Cristina Stasia is involved in, and will do their best to disrupt said events.

Seriously, nobody is discussing the subtext here...the assumption that people like Stasia have some kind of assumed right to disrupt MR events that have absolutely no relevance to 'rape culture' or anything else feminist groups are concerned with. If they are not willing to live and let live, give them a taste of their own medicine.

Going by the FB link they want to discuss the "Don't be that girl" campaign and possibly doxx people.

The first I have no problem with, but it should probably happen at a separate event. The second... is hard to blame them giving that AVFM have been doing it so much, but I don't think it's a good idea.
