The Left is creating a universe where accusation equals fact. That’s troublesome, just look at history.

Goes back to Florence in the 1500’s, to WWII, Stalin, Salem Massachusetts, to McArthy. Times in history where accusation has been considered fact, and it’s been a catastrophe for society.

We must back away from that. The way we do that is a process. The process may be imperfect, may get it wrong, but you can’t have purely accusation stand as fact. You can believe the person making the accusation, but the consequence of the accusation cannot have the same impact as fact, in any sort of legal or social adjudication. We’re done if the rule of law goes away.

I feel horrible for anyone victimized that can’t find the evidence, who feel like they aren’t believed, but we have to accept a certain amount of that in order to have a functioning civil society.
