This is one of my biggest problems with how so many men approach problems.

It's a step that he's taken the time to acknowledge he has a problem, but this is a long, long road to any sort of recovery. Too many men, my NVM ex included, recognize there is a problem but then do absolutely nothing to get help. My ex was going through some real shit (totally unrelated to porn/sex), and how many times do you think he went to therapy? Once. How much good do you think it did? Practically nothing.

This is honestly so sad and pathetic. I do not feel any sympathy for this guy. If he really gave a f**k he would do something about it. If he really cared about his wife and children then he would do something about it. These type of guys will blame their biology proclaiming that they can’t help but succumb to their impulses rendering themselves of no responsibility bc THEY DON’T WANT TO STOP their addiction. One thing i learned from my recent lvm ex is that it is a massive red flag if they have an unhealthy relationship to porn, masturbation, sex, etc. If they talk of feeling GUILTY or DEPRESSED or say they can’t help themselves or they do it for the wrong reasons (validation or escaping their problems in life or running away from shame and insecurity) RUN AND KEEP YOUR DISTANCE SIS THEY WON’T DO YOU ANY GOOD.
