These two allegations are pretty different, though. No contemporary reports to Reade's friends or family, plus contradictory self-reporting. Plus a weird swing from being wildly pro-Biden on Women's issues, to all of a sudden being extremely pro-Russia and Putin, coupled with her making accusations against Biden. Also, no history of these types of allegations against Biden, and no additional accusers. All of these things are super different than with Kavanaugh.

Male. I’m conflicted about it and will probably use the same arguments that Republicans did to defend Kavanagh.

That her story changed multiple times and that she’s only just now coming out with this version after Biden basically locked down the nomination is suspect. It’s not like Biden is just now in the public eye, he was Vice President for 8 years and still a Senator years before that. Despite that, her story could still be true, there’s plenty of women that have acted similarly, many women wait awhile and stories can change but ultimately be true.

However, even if he were to be found to have done it, I would still vote for him regardless (this is from someone who voted for Sanders in the Primary). Compare him to Trump, who has literally dozens of women making sexual assault allegations against him. Even IF half of those women were lying, that’s still a mountain of people he’s sexually assaulted.

Trump is just as likely to normalize sexual assault amongst his supporters as he is to lukewarmly condemn it, since all he needs to do is “joke” about something like, “A little rape never hurt anybody,” or whatever and suddenly his supporters will throw one more set of morals out the window, just like they have with every other value that conflicts with Trump.

The stakes are just too high to disqualify the one person we’re having to rely on to get Trump out of office, he’s just too dangerous and we have no other peaceful options to get him out of office. Biden is a flawed candidate, but he’s all we have at this point to get Trump out. If Biden did it, he should apologize, certainly, but if he denies it (and evidence shows he did it), it won’t cause me to not vote for him.
