... and I feel like absolute shit for wanting to divorce her. This is her second suicide attempt in 5 years. Back in 2017, I found out she was abusing prescription drugs, and I was packing to leave. She slit her wrists and that put everything on hold. Since then, she's made constant threats of suicide, and I stayed because I didn't want our children to not have their mother around. It's been hell for everyone.

Last week, I had a mild heart attack from stress - not work, but being home is rough. She wanted to be intimate and didn't give a damn about my health. I stood up for myself, and because I rejected her advances and left the bedroom to go to the basement, I was awoken to my daughter shrieking at the sight of her mother almost dead a few hours later from strangulation. After we got her situated, and when I called 911, she threw some pills away in an attempt to hide them, and I found them. She admitted to me that she was selling them.

We've been married for two decades, have a house, and a minor child. I'm the earner in the home. She gets SSI for mental illness (diagnosed bipolar). How does property division and custody bear out in situations like this? I've been reading that threats of suicide are a form of domestic violence. If that's the case, would it impact the outcome of a divorce?
