Long time responder, first time poster.

To you betrayed spouses, are we really jaded? are we really broken? or, is it that we now can see relationships kind of clearly and understand how fragile and flighty they can be. Is it, that we have learned that a solid partner for the long term is absolutely possible, but it takes a lot of time and effort to find them. Its annoying to visit other sub Reddits and hear men/women cheated on, and i recommend divorce, if the WS isn't acutely remorseful, i end up getting called angry and jaded, are we really broken? i have no doubt betrayed spouses are a bit crispy in some areas, but we also see red flags 3000 miles away now, the trick is to not be overly critical, people will make small mistakes, but its the HUGE red flags that we turn to white that's the problem. I feel like we are the Elder Statesman of marriage, we have been married and burned by it, we see both sides of the fence now and know better how to manage a relationship. Maybe its just people who have never been divorced, who simply dont understand us? just looking to share ideas fellas!

Dating and doing better now though, 26 years of lies, is a tough road, but i have dated and met some really good women, a lot of close but no cigar situations.
