It's just another method of control, younger women are interested in older men due to their experience and resources, this reduces the dating pool for older women, so they want to embarrass men from dating younger women.

i call this the "plot twist phenomenon".

everytime men do something, feminists will always add some kind of dark twist into it.

man wants a woman with a low bodycount? omg its insecurity. nothing to do with the fact that men feel its embarrassing to be in a relationship with a slut.
man wants a young woman? omg it must be because he is creepy. nothing to do with the fact that younger women are more attractive in general.
man wants to marry abroad? omg he is exploiting poor women. it has nothing to do with looking for women with traditional values. it must be because of exploit.

now imagine if men do the reverse and say something like "women who want children dont want to be mothers, they just want child support". imagine the shitstorm if majority of men start saying that in social media.

Usually it's just jealousy from women. They used up their best years pursuing 10/10 Chad that never materialized into a forever relationship. Or they just ran around for 10 years for feelgoods. Now they know they will never have a top tier relationship they dreamed of and they don't want to see younger, better overall girls taking what's left of their potential mates.

With the obvious out of the way, I don't see how an age-gap is inherently predatory.
Sure, it looks weird. But, surely you're not judging the health of their relationship by looks.

Let's say a Woman of 40 and a Man of 23 were to date, what's predatory about that? Maybe they met through similar interests. Maybe they find one another intellectually stimulating. Maybe their relationship is built upon a solid foundation of trust, respect and love. By what definition could that be considered predatory?

Now, twist that around? Why is an older Man considered predatory? Surely an Adult Woman can make her own decisions. Surely she is not still considered a child at 23. Aha! Maybe that's it. Maybe it's just that they automatically assume the Man is a creep? Sexist bollocks.

Fair enough. I could see a relationship as predatory if they were only in it for money, which a lot of Women are, funnily enough. Or if they were only in it for a green card or citizenship. But, even if so. So what? Unless they don't know they're being taken advantage of, where's the harm? If two consenting adults want to date for some sort of closure or protection, even if predatory, leave them alone.

I say it's a combination of jealousy and nosiness. Like a lot of people who balk at a couple kissing, holding hands or having a nice meal out. Gossiping about their relationship like a bunch of idiots.

I’m in my late 30s and date girls around 25, mainly college girls. They don’t have kids, still have a lust for life and want to go out/travel. Bodies are still perfect and low body counts. I don’t have to plan for baby sitters, worry about baby’s daddy drama, can stay out and come and go whenever. Women after 30 with kids etc carry a LOT of baggage.

it's not predatory if the woman is actually benefiting from it i.e. easy access to resources, never having to work as hard.

If you are in your mid or end thirties you have either two options date a woman in her 30s too but almost guaranteed to have a kid, so essentially you are dating a single mom. LoL, imagine raising and providing for another man's kid. Second option is dating women in their 20-25 meaning an age gap of like 10+ years, but child free. FYI the frontal cortex thing is mostly pop science myth based on an outdated study. The prefrontal cortex can 'finish' developing at any point around 20-30 years old, for some even earlier or later. And it says nothing about the capacity of the brains which also never stop changing throughout life and then start decaying from 30 upwards. So there is a big chance a 20 year old may have a better brain, even if still not in full capacity, than a 30 year old. Intelligence and other stuff varies after all. Saying "it is undeveloped" is also very misleading since the last years are mostly refinement, so think going from 90% to 100%.

It's a manipulation tactic. Blaming others takes the focus off of them, so that they never have to take accountability for their actions or words. Women very often resort to manipulation tactics, because they can't win physically. Those women spent the first few decades of their lives bashing men. Refusing to seek out meaningful relationships. Now they're on the rejected side for the first time. If you expect them to submit now, after decades of rebellion, that makes you the fool. Instead, they resort to shaming, blaming, insulting, and accusing. If women are being chosen over them, there must be something wrong with the men. It must be predatory and shameful in some way. That's how they twist it. Their perception is warped. They are stuck in denial, until one day it's way too late. By then they'll have to choose between terrible partners or staying alone.

I wouldn’t be too happy if my 20-year-old son started dating a woman in her 40s. I would definitely wonder if she had some sort of ulterior motive.

She wants a young stand-in daddy for her fatherless kids? She wants a man who’s financially ignorant so she can get marriage without a prenup? She’s looking for an easy meal and a place to stay?

I think my husband would chew out any older woman who pursued a young son of ours and I’m 100% in support of that.

Depends how big the age gap difference is. If she’s 25 and he’s 33, no one gives a damn. But think about what you would do if your 21 year old daughter came to you and said she’s in a romantic relationship with a 45 year old man. Ask yourself if you’d have alarm bells ringing in your head at all.

A 5 year age gap is ok for 30 year olds and 10 years plus for 40+.

The problem is that young people not just women don’t have as much life experience and so can be manipulated by older people easier and so it is predatory for a older person to try and be with a young one especially since it’s almost always about sex since most young and old people are compatible enough to date long term since the gap in maturity. If you are getting along with a bunch of early 20 year olds while he 30+ then you are immature and should grow up a bit

the explanation is easy: it is the main sign that older women have lost their leverage over men. if you ever have a woman telling you any of that, ask her what would be her attitude in her 20s.... it certain that almost all of them dated older men at one point (or multiple times)
