It's not any harder. I've been single before and after apps. The only thing that made it more difficult was everyone got fatter and I was in better shape in my 30s. Youth is forgiving of bad habits but it starts to show in your late 20s. If your a young buck make sure you add fitness to one of your requirements... and lack of substance abuse.

Get off dating apps and meet women IRL.

I use dating apps, but judging women's standards based on dating apps is like judging a man's standards by the girls he follows on instagram. Women are choosy because men aren't, and because they don't have time to sift through hundreds of profiles.

You'll find that if you get to know a girl in person, she's more likely to be more forgiving of things that may cause her to "swipe left" on you. Whether it's looks, age, height, or something seemingly asinine.

I dated a girl for a while that I met at the airport. We were out of each other's age range on Bumble, so we'd never have met online. I also recently started hooking up with a girl who I'd almost certainly never have gotten with through a dating app, for various reasons. You'll still have to deal with rejection, but your odds of finding someone who's interested are a lot better.

Stopped dating American woman and went for foreign woman who live in America. Changed everything. They are more down to earth, respect you more, and genuinely want to spend time with you. I’ve found American woman tend to have a high sense of entitlement and think everything should be about them

I think millennial women see compromise as settling. I’m a millennial woman, and I have a ton of friends who are waiting for “the perfect guy.” I’ve had some people make comments to me because I am married—they say things insinuating that I settled or whatever because my husband isn’t 100% perfect. I don’t think they realize that perfection is impossible, and if you wait for it you’ll die alone. My husband is amazing. He’s my best friend. He checks all the major boxes for me. Neither one of us is perfect. We accept and love each other for who we are. My friends don’t get that, and that’s why they are still searching. And I don’t hang out with the ones that make shitty comments anymore.

You say dating is getting harder and harder. I don't quite believe that. I tried dating in the early 2000s and I can tell ya that things were way harder back then, at least for me personally. Now I am so happy that there are dating apps. Makes things so much easier for me compared to cold approaching. I can meet women from my bedroom. I mean, that's revolutionary.

I find it actually way easier now than before. Women crave other ways of meeting men than dating apps, so in any circumstances of life it seems easy to get at least a first date.

I mean there is definitely SOMETHING going on. Whether that's on modern women's dating standard or not is hard to figure out. Young male virginity has risen from 8% in 2008 to an all time high of 27% in 2018.

The rise of online dating happened at the same time. So it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that online dating ironically hurt the average men's ability to find women.

even if , you dont need to play the game, you could just well focus on other things like your achievements and like job, or acquiring assets to better yourself for yourself, if you feel the standard is too high , then leave , stop forcing yourself to ,meet something you feel you cant and focus on other things, being in a relationship , having sex with women isnt the only way to get your life fulfilled

You might have a favourite ice cream flavour but if you walked into a ice cream place with 100's upon 100's of flavours to choose from you would probably think twice on settling for your favourite. I think they’re definitely higher, but I wouldn’t say they’re too high. Women are finding that they don’t NEED a partner, they don’t HAVE to have kids. So there’s less pressure to find a long term partner. More women than ever are focusing on careers and their own lives.

I think that guys just need to try harder. By that I mean work on their appearance, emotional intelligence, and learn about how mysogney has shaped their view of women and how women are currently being impacted by it. I say all of this because when I look at an average woman vs an average man, the women is 10x better looking, and that is because they have spent time grooming themselves in the morning and putting extra effort into their appearance in a way that men don’t. I think men would be more attractive if they took better care of their skin, hair, nails etc. the average man looks like they rolled out of bed and put on random clothes. The mysogeny part is important because I swear the defalut man that I talk to has subtle mysoginist tendencies in how they treat me and talk to me. Women want a man who has truly looked at the way women are viewed and treated in society and realizes that it is not fair and women are not treated equally. If a guy does not view me as an intellectually equal human being, it is very obvious and I will quickly check them off my list as a possible suitor. For most women, life is easier alone then being with someone who they have to take care of and teach how to appreciate them. If men can come into the relationship making our lives better by just being there and not draining out mental and physical energy then I think more women would be open to dating.

Are you talking about online dating or irl?

Only a very few guys are successful at online dating. For irl, if you aren't meeting girls then you need to involve yourself in more circles or activities where there are girls. In these environments girls 'standards' are much lower and tend to based more on your personality than anything else.

I think your question isn't specific enough but attempting to answer...

Generally, I think dating app analytics prove women are very selective when dating and number of users male to female is what proves that for the real world. Not the algorithm; despite mods objection, in my opinion.

How many women do you know, who have their stuff together, are moderately to not especially attractive, don't have a significant weight problem, and don't have kids that have issues finding a guy?

Then of the ones that do find a guy, would you say they are the more desirable match or the man, total package?

I think at the edges the bell curve is similar between men and women in difficulty and standards. However I also think a women is more likely to get more dates than a man on average, and with less effort, so I think that assists in getting them what they want or closer to it. If things come to you, and you only have to go for what you want sometimes, that's easier than constant rejection.

I say all this to say, yes I do think women have high standards, but I also think they just can.

That said that's for dating as in getting dates. If it leads to what they want it to. Or what they thought they wanted it to. How it ends in the long run. Will they have regrets. That's where I think you need to elaborate to get a complete answer.
