I am honestly confused.

First, a little context: I am 22, I'm in a stable long-term relationship of almost 2 years, I live with my girlfriend, she's sexy and hot and everything, and we regularly have amazing sex. I'm an average guy. I've never been muscular, or a smooth talker, or rich or popular. I met my girlfriend through a co-worker, and all I did was be myself.

I'm not trying to troll. Honestly, I'm not. But everything about seddit seems to be at odds with how I view relationships.

I could rant about this for hours, but I'll keep it brief and in point-form:

  • Why is being an alpha male so important?
  • How acceptable is it to judge women based on their sex appeal? Are PUAs out purely for meaningless sex, or do they actually take a girl's personality into account?
  • Do PUAs consider a woman's desires as well as their own? Can a PUA "take a hint", so to speak?
  • Why is "LJBF" so undesirable? I mean, it's great making new friends, isn't it?
  • How do PUAs react to people in the LBGT group? If you're an "alpha male", is (male) homosexuality a threat to your masculinity?
  • Further to that, any bisexual or gay sedditors here?
  • I guess my biggest question is: Why not just be yourself? Be up-front about your desires? Why not meet women through friends, or work, or common interests?

Again, I've tried my best not to phrase these questions argumentatively, so I'd appreciate non-argumentative answers. I'm just trying to figure out seddit, is all.

EDIT: Yes, I have some preconceptions and biases here. Doesn't mean I'm not trying to be open-minded. These questions are NOT rhetorical.

EDIT 2: Alright, I've got to get some sleep. I'm putting a lot of thought into my responses and thus, they're taking a lot of time. But I am finding it interesting and I'll come back to talk more tomorrow.
