I’m mostly wanting to see if I’m fucking crazy or not, but there’s been a lot of posts across the rest of Reddit about male loneliness and how men are blaming women or taking their frustrations out on them or whatever.

And to a weird degree I understand those feelings - at least for me, it’s really hard not to be totally envious of women because their experience compared to my own feels like it could be so much better. I’ve narrowed the driving force behind this down to desirability, at least for me. It’s extremely difficult for me to see how desired women are for friendships, relationships, flings, and anything in between… and then come back to realize I’m not beautiful, I won’t be pursued, I’m stuck in a role that requires me to make the first move, and feeling like I’m just worth less in society than women are in both my personhood but especially my body. It just feels like the world doesn’t want or need me in it and that my body is this ugly utilitarian thing that should be ridiculed in comparison to women’s beauty.

And those feelings get kind of suffocating after a while. But I’m not sure if they are relatively common or if I’m just being overly weird…
