To preface, a little means a little, no still means no, etc.

There are three simple realties about dating as a man

  1. It is impossible to be absolutely sure that a woman will be receptive to your advances

  2. Any advances made towards a woman who is not interested in you will result in some amount of discomfort on her part

  3. You must make romantic advances on women in order to gain a relationship

Put it all together, what this means is that you MUST be willing to potentially make a woman feel uncomfortable if you are to ever find a relationship. If you are ok potentially bothering someone, wasting their time, intimidating them, etc. we would generally consider you to be entitled to their attention, but we have been taught all our lives to never ever feel entitled to women, at all, ever, and yet if you actually take that to heart you will never have success in dating.

I remember taking it to heart when I was younger; I'd never make advances on any girls for fear of making them feel uncomfortable, because I had fully internalized the idea that I'm not entitled to women. Now, I don't really care anymore, if I make a woman feel uncomfortable, so be it, and it has led me to much more dating success. I do stop once they make it clear they're not interested, of course, but like I said, I can't know beforehand whether she'll be interested or not.

Again, a little means a little, no means no, etc.
