Seems like (naturally) most posts on here are about navigating the divorce process, money, kids, and all that jazz.

But has anyone else just really struggled after everything was finalized? The divorce process itself was tough forsure, and I’m likely in a better mental state now that everything is set in stone, but it’s hard to tell.

My EW cheated on me and completely ripped our life apart. Picking up the pieces and moving forward has been a monumental task and truth be told, I can’t imagine a life where I’m ever happy again.

I have zero motivation to be a normal functioning adult. My job is stagnant, and despite my efforts, moving upstream to make more money has been a failed effort. I’m trying to better myself and do all the things - including working out. But I’m not sure this gaping void in my soul can ever be filled.

I’ve hooked up with a few chicks off dating apps, so I’m definitely trying to do the things that a newly single guy is typically recommended. But those did absolutely nothing for me. I crave companionship and stability, but I also acknowledge jumping into another serious relationship is ill-advised at this time in my life as well.

What’s more, I’m in my thirties and all my friends have pretty much gone their own ways. Most of them are married with families and don’t make time for their lousy, sad single friend.

How have you guys found happiness post divorce? It’s been 6 months for me btw
