I don’t understand why some men are gay and not attracted to women. In our culture, there is a strong expectation for men to be masculine and dominant. Women have been sexualized everywhere—in commercials, films, and media.

How can gay men resist women? Why do some men not feel sexual attraction toward them? It’s fascinating because, for ages, culture has promoted the idea of men being attracted to women. The male role model in films and society is often portrayed as a man who is successful with attractive women.

Imagine this scenario: for some men, women are like chocolate. It’s everywhere, constantly promoted as the best thing. Yet, some men say that chocolate is unappealing to them and prefer bread instead. This fascinates me. Why are some men gay? It seems difficult to prefer men over women, especially in a culture where gay men have historically been labeled as disgusting, shameful, and emasculating.

There has been a massive cultural push to sexualize women. For instance, years ago, during the peak of patriarchy, magazines like Playboy my were incredibly popular, featuring naked women.

What puzzles me even more is how heterosexual men are obsessed with women. Women find it much easier to get laid because men are often willing to sleep with almost any woman if given the chance. This obsession is evident on platforms like OnlyFans, where heterosexual men essentially worship women. These platforms and countless porn sites thrive because of the intense fixation men have on women’s sexuality and bodies.

So, it’s even more mysterious to me that gay men are resistant to this strong cultural and biological pull. How is it that they don’t find women attractive? What is it about their perspective that makes them immune to this obsession with women?

It’s truly wild that there are men who are so obsessed with women that they are willing to pay for her pictures or a chat with her. Many heterosexual men would sleep with a woman instantly if she simply approached them on the street and asked.

On the other hand, there are gay men who feel absolutely nothing for women.

What is the difference between gay and heterosexual men in how they exist and think?
