I get what you’re saying. I say this all the time. Yes; By approaching you’re automatically lowering your value:

You’re the one who comes closer. You initiate. She just sees you approaching.

You show her that you need to talk to her. Does she need to talk to you? No. You’re the one who approach her, remember?

You court her. You’re dancing and peacocking in front of her. You’re a contestant in this game.

She is the one who will decide. She’d be the judge whether you’re even good enough so she’s willing to give you her name / number.

This is why guys get nervous, stutter, whenever they approach. The stress itself pushing you lower. When the convo goes nowhere you panic. You double down, saying (more) stupid stuff, thinking the bare minimum she won’t reject you and won’t walk away.

This is why there are methods need to be learned so you can have the table turned within minutes. If the table is not turned, then you lose her.

If you approach her and go "Omg sorry to bother you, but I just had to speak to you because you're so beautiful. May I grovel before you, oh beautiful goddess of the streets?" This would be an example of displaying lower value than her.

Here's a neutral approach: "Oh, hey, do you know the time? K, thanks. Oh that's a nice purse btw. Where did you get it?" The observation hooks her, so you can speak about platonic things while remaining fairly neutral about things. Perhaps she enjoys talking about purses with you, and you can pitch going to some coffee shop to continue speaking about the amazing world of purses, but it probably won't get you laid unless you also add in some sexual tension, and make her want you in some way.

Here's a higher value approach: "Oh, hi there. I just noticed you while walking by, and I had to say—you have an incredible sense of style. It’s rare to see someone who pulls it off so effortlessly. Are you always this fashionable, or is today a special occasion?" This shows higher value, because it's confident, it's more man-to-woman without being tacky.

From here you can take it to the next level by being cocky and funny with a bit of push and pull. "Well, you almost look as good as I do! We'd be the talk of the town you and me. Yeah, you could be my little sister! Or idk, you look like a naughty girl. I like it!" I wouldn't do this kinda stuff all the time, but sprinkled in between, and then either ask her out later, or take her for coffee right away. I mean, you could also go this route with the neutral approach too.

Personally I like the neutral approach best. It's more easy to gauge if she want's to keep talking to you or not. Only then I do a light pepper of flirting to make it more man-to-woman. Meanwhile the high value approach can backfire sooner, if she's got a different idea about you. Women will usually test self-assured men sooner, which can be good if you know how to handle it, but obviously not if you fail the test.

The goal is to actually value and respect yourself enough that you can be authentic with people. If you're so outcome attached that you can't bear someone knowing you're interested in them to the point of self isolation, you're not going to make it. "I'll be fine if you reject me" is a mindset you should strive for. Better yet: "If you're not interested, please let me know asap so I can move on to someone who is, thanks." A girl who rejects you because she thinks people that show interest in her must not be worth much is 1) uncommon and 2) not an attractive, or frankly, healthy person that you should persue. That person just isn't going to make you happy, so hopefully they do reject you as soon as possible.

Initiating is a man's duty in a relationship. Being able to do so with confidence (and respect), risking rejection, is a sign of high value. Low value would be not approaching at all because you don't have the courage.

This is something that I was stuck on for a while. I started looking at it from this perspective.

I am a social person and enjoy interacting with strangers. As a result, when I go out I like to make conversation with people. Most interactions are relatively positive, and these people are usually just as interested in talking but just choose not to start conversations with strangers.

This is no different with women, except I’ll be flirty if I find them attractive and if the vibe is good I’ll ask for their contact.

Being social and interacting with a lot of people increases your value.

It goes the other way if you give off the sense that you are only there for the objective of getting a girl or sex as opposed to meeting new people and seeing where things go.

and cold approach does show low value. lt's like those guys who pull up to you in a parking lot and say, hey you have some damage on your car, do you want to get that fixed, l can fix it for you. that's basically the same thing. realistically, if you were a good mechanic, you wouldnt be in a parking lot asking people if they need work done on their car. just like realitistcally, if youre a man of high value, or any value, you wouldnt be going up to females and saying, l saw you from over there, and thought you were cute.
