In an ideal world, I would love to be a “househusband”. I would like to stay at home, clean, cook, etc. while my wife works but I know it’s very unlikely to happen so the second next best thing is 50/50.

Lots of women say that 50/50 is unfair because the woman needs to pay while also doing chores but 50/50 isn’t just about money. It’s about sharing out the traditional gender roles between each person. If these women hate doing the chores they could do the traditional male role of working and providing and give her boyfriend the “princess treatment” but these women don’t want to do that because they know it’s a shitty role. I hate when I see people complain that men aren’t giving flowers, providing or they’re wanting to receive gifts like that isn’t the same as how women have been. They insult men by saying they’re “princesses” or that they’re gay. They literally use being a woman as an insult for men but it’s fine when they do the same things? I don’t get it.

They call men who split the bill broke but if he was, he would be asking her to pay for it all which is what she is doing… They’re not called broke because they can hide behind the gender role of being a woman, whereas men can’t and so they are shamed.

I get why they don’t wanna be the provider because neither do I. It doesn’t mean I’m broke. I just hate having expectations put on me because of my gender. I also don’t expect a woman to cook and clean. And yeah, I love to give women the princess treatment but as long as I receive it in return. A lot of women talk about knowing their worth and not accepting anything below it but what if men start listening to their advice and only accept the best?

(This is a generalisation I know not all women are like this but I feel like their is a growth of traditional women who just want to be spoiled by men)
