Typically when looking online the divorce rates are 41-50% with 70% of divorces being initiated by women. However this statement is VERY misleading. Using math you can conceptually push any narrative you want. What is not told is how these numbers are calculated. Crude divorce stat and the refined divorce stat. Crude means dividing the number of divorces in a specific year by the total population (including children, single adults, and married couples) for that same year. Refined is actual married women. Effectively at the highest year of divorce rate 1979 you had a 2.28% chance of getting divorced that year for refined marriage stats. If you account for the highest divorce rate ever(1979), then your chances of divorce is 30% at 15 year mark. However theres more to it and that number is lower. Once you account for time(the longer you've been together) the more likely you'll stay together. So its way lower than that. What the data shows is really just theres a sizeable(but not majority) who marry all the time. Those people make bad decisions and throw off numbers. Recent marriage data is just media propaganda to push divorce and distrust in the family unit.
