You should have done some basic research on the topic before posting it.

Even if you just...thought a little bit, your claim wouldn't make much sense. Mental health issues aren't a result solely of worrying about divorce or cheating. A lot of single, never married people have mental health issues without ever being married.

Historically, wives have devoted far more effort physically and emotionally to upkeeping family units and the household than husbands. Unhealthy husbands have had a habit of limiting themselves to superficial effort (money) in families, and then get upset when the wife and children lack a close intimate bond, sexual attraction, or respect in old age. Maintaining healthy relationships requires quality time and emotional engagement with whomever is in the household. And that is why historically, wives benefit less, from high expectations as far as duties, in exchange for loneliness, lack of reciprocity, and poor mental health due to superficial (i only work) husbands.

Thankfully, there are great husbands out there who do still play an active role in care for their children and wives outside of work. And whether at home or working, a wife/mother's job never stops, so why should a husband's. (Keep in mind that less than 25% of American wives are, stay at home.)

Being single for both sexes is less responsibility and a more self-involved lifestyle. Family life is a personal choice, and unfortunately, some go into it, completely unprepared to be reciprocal emotionally, physically, and financially.

However, being single just because one doesn't know how to healthily reciprocate in long-term connections is not "happiness." It's merely a bitter escape due to pride.

I wouldnt say better mental health as being single for long periods can be stressful for some. Which is one the reasons men pursue women. As it does help fill that void once they are able to get them one.

Married men do take on a lot more risk but it can be more fulfilling, if he man isn't in a dead bedroom marriage. Which of course happens to men and that is far worse then casual or even single men over long periods.
