Ouch. Been exactly there. Almost identical really. I don’t want to be an alarm or negative, but that was the first thing I realized she completely lied about.

From my experience, all she cared about was being the first to be seen with someone new. It shows it was her decision, others will tell her how inspiring she is, etc.

The best advice anyone ever gave me what’s the remember she no longer cared about my best interest, so why should I care about hers? Don’t do anything illegal or anything like that, but don’t make decisions based on her preferences. You don’t have to do that anymore. Start looking out for yourself, kindness holds no value. You will not be able to pay your mortgage or your car note with kindness you’re showing your soon to be ex-wife.

Same story, man. It’s all too common. My marriage ended with no notice, only to realize that she’d been planning for months. Used hidden money to put a contract on a new home, has been hiding other money from her parents, and has been involved with another guy since July…when he filed to end his 24-year marriage (public records can be a gold mine).

As much as you can, maintain the moral high ground. The fact that she moved on so quickly says far more about her than you. No parties in a divorce are without fault, but it’s pretty easy to tell who the predominant “a$$hole” is.
