Man I feel for you. My situation was rough when she lived in the spare bedroom before she moved out (dressing up and going out every night, talking to men on the phone in front of me giggling and talking about sex), but she never brought a man into the home. “You respect this fucking house while you live here, don’t you bring a man into this home” is what I told her. She was pissed I basically called her a whore (well, she is, she cheated). Boohoo. As the weeks went by I sensed she was probably going to cross my hard boundary. Luckily she ended up leaving for good. I made it uncomfortable for her. I asked her every single day “well did you find a place yet? No? TRY HARDER!”. She ended up getting a 2nd floor rental.

A good friend of mine went thru the same thing you are going through. My friend is a two time US Army combat veteran. His ex had zero remorse bringing in other men to his home during the divorce.

There is a certain place in hell for these types of no moral characters. Both your ex and the loser she brings into the home.

Disgusting people.

Lay low. Stay calm. Don’t go to jail which would allow her to “win”.

Make her and her new boyfriend uncomfortable when he’s over. Cook stinky foods. Burn smelly incense. Watch loud television. Eat her food. Maybe replace their bed with a crappy or smaller one. Use up all the hot water with a long shower. Turn down the temperature on the hot water heater. “Break” the wi-fi. Or tell her she has to sleep in a smaller bedroom if you have one. My favorite is leaving the toilet seat up, but that’s not an immediate solution that you want.

It would certainly be tough to hold it together, and I imagine that bringing him in is that endgame—trying to make you go off the rails and do something she can leverage.

So legally, you could call the cops, make sure big stink. At least if your on the mortgage/deed as yes its partly her house its also yours... Sort of like if an ex of yours showed up, and you let her sleep on the couch. Your now ex could demand she be kicked out..

It may make your divorce case messier.. so if talk to a lawyer 1st since you already intend to leave.

But really id just suck it up, as this guy shes likely expects to help cover her bills.. legally my stuff only really started progressing when my ex had a bf and a job.. technically a fiance but then they broke up a few times... lol

The only way I would do anything in this situation is if I knew that my action would make their relationship stronger so that I would be sure it lasted until the divorce was over. This is cool-headed, strategic me many years on - easier said than done. Let them relish in it, you’re gone on 12 Jan. Low rent is right. u/SonOfKong_

Oh there's options but they're felonies.

In theory the law is on your side, from actual experience as a third party in a few different roles, I can say for certain, in some states in USA, it's very much up to the responding officer and they're very unlikely to volunteer themself for this hassle.

Definitely recommend you have a discussion and video and audio record it. Tmdh to get both to acknowledge that this is legally your property and they understand that you deny permission for him to be there. Send it to your attorney, if you're willing to pay his additional fees, see if it can be used within divorce court or if they know of any other recourse

I question the moral compass (lack thereof) in any man (in this case the new boyfriend) who would allow himself to be put in that position. Under no circumstances would I accompany a woman/girlfriend into the home she still shares with her ex husband. That is so low class and disrespectful. Of course going through my own drawn out divorce I simply will not ever get involved with a woman who is still going through her own divorce. Stay strong man.

I'm not a lawyer but from my understanding of the laws, she's allowed to invite whoever she wants and you can't restrict it. Same rule applies to you as well if you wanted to get petty.

If you have children you could use this behaviour against her but that's about it. It sucks, I dealt with the same thing, luckily I have the power to kick out my ex.
