On the day following the last election, I was devastated. I've been extremely frustrated and exhausted by right wing rhetoric for decades. It's only now, that some of the messaging coming out of leftist spaces has been able to reach and sometimes even surpass that level of utter disdain and loathing.

I find myself regularly baffled as to how I've been so blind to the pure unadulterated bigotry and toxicity that these people stew in and propogate. I had heard commentary numerous times about how toxic leftist spaces can be, but I never investigated it because I assumed it couldn't be that bad considering we were clearly on the right side of history.

So true ! Also men’s mental health crisis is the aspect I related to most. For that reason I also suffered from identity crisis not knowing who I am as a person. I also blame education system for this.

Are men routinely going out and saying women have to come save us from loneliness? I don't think they are. They're noting that the reason for the loneliness is the struggle to build a family/connect socially, but that's not quite the same as 'women need to come here and fix this'. With that in mind, most women commenting on this line can just fuck off as far as I'm concerned. Stop making it about you.

Beyond that.. I feel that what men need generally is greater emotional maturity/resilience. We have a harder job getting to such a place because society really doesn't encourage men to be introspective and thoughtful about our needs and wants, about the things that have hurt us and the insecurities we carry that might negatively impact our chances of being happy. This is something that we need to work on collectively, and which will quite likely bring numbers of us back into the position of being well placed to have meaningful relationships with women/friends.

The right's caricature of an idealised man is not going to help anyone, which is why the world is run by high profile insecure babies, rather than actual men. So we're between a rock and a hard place. The left doesn't care and can even obstruct (the weak/damaged people on the left at least), and the right is just the blind leading the blind.

"straight people's problems"

"IDF's problems"

It's part of the ideology of the caste-based ranking of oppressor vs oppressed. I've seen it first hand in University.

Threads was the same way, absolutely filled with hatred towards men. If you ever called it out for being negative they got insanely mad at you and blocked you. Misandry is a huge problem in general, but especially on those platforms.

I think it is just a much women’s responsibility to solve this problem as it is men’s. This is a societal issue and it will only be resolved with everyone focusing on it. This is especially true for parents raising young men. It’s the mother and father’s responsibility to prepare their child for the real world.

I feel bad for other men, my family has cultural practices which have meant we are all successful with women and make friends easily. The exception to this is my oldest brother who seems to have fallen down some weird conservative anti fun view. Basically why have friends when he should be chores/working. This means he views friends as a negative and punishes himself for talking to them.

If you're lonely, call your old friends if you can. Or maybe shoot them a message or buy them a postage card. Its likely that they are also lonely. I just hope this helps if you read this. Friends require maintenance like other relationships, sometimes even without maintaining its possible to start up again.

On the topic of this article the lefts view on this is cancerous. They should realize a bunch of lonely desperate men would be an obvious problem for everyone else. Its stupid af.

Thats why you see more women into the "loneliness" and more men into "50/50-split equality" - its a psyop to talk to both genders (mainly women) and show them feminism = bad = therefore left also bad

The “ male loneliness epidemic” conversation has always been so odd to me because Women have almost the same exact level of loneliness from the initial article but only the male loneliness part gets talked about.
