Let me tell you a story...

I went to a show and took a woman I was dating. About 4 months after it all went down. She suggested we get a hotel room since it was late and a long drive back. I was kinda shocked but sure, why not. We decided on the way up to the room, we would order a pizza and chill. No sooner than the door shut, she was on me. It was amazing and probably the best time I've had with a woman in many years.

Once done, we ordered the pizza and I was on my way down to get it. I was waiting for the elevator and a thought hit me and hit me hard. My mind started just saying...

"What the fuck are you doing?" "This isn't who you are." " You should be home and not out with another woman..."

You name it, it hit hard. I stared out that window for about fifteen minutes. Then I took a deep breath and said loudly, "She's gone. Enjoy it."

I brought the food up, we ate pizza, watched a movie, had more fun and fell asleep naked in each other's arms. It made me feel more valued and desired than I have had in years. I decided to focus on those good feelings and let those define who I am. Not the feelings of who I used to be. That person is dead to me. Now I am a father, boyfriend and just me. And I'm happy with that.

You will be too. Just have to learn to live in the new and push away the old. There are moments that will hit hard, but focus on who you are becoming.

The times I've been with women it still feels wrong, like I am cheating or something. Take your time man, its different for everyone. I've made the decision to not chase or actively date. I have a couple of women who are interested (or at least seem to be) but I'm playing it cool and taking things really slow.

Yeah I’m with you. Recently had a girl stop me after she came to my place and we had started making out etc. I stopped obviously and let her leave, she basically ghosted me after that.
