The wall is another thing entirely, While most women can have sex whenever they want, all the time and all their lives. Relationships are a different thing. Almost none wants a elder woman for a relationship, even if they want for sex. This is the supposed "wall". They get 100 guys flirting with them, but a virtual 0% chance of getting married. Which sums up the Wall. The wall is not for sex. Men are thirsty all their lives. The wall is for relationship, because with age, people are less prone to deal with headaches from women.

A girlfriend of mine is 49 and has had exactly 3 boyfriends - one at 20 for one year, one at 27 for 6 weeks. and one about 5 years ago. She has spent a lot of lonely years. She is not bad looking but she is over 6 foot which intimidates a lot of guys. Coupled with an introverted personality and clinical depression, she has basically come to terms with never marrying or having kids.

There are actually a lot of very lonely very single women. Some are simply too unattractive to attract any mate at all, some can attract some attention but only from men they aren't interested in who are below their league, some women are utterly delusional and continually reject men who are at or above their league, but they are still very lonely, and some women are in the in between phases. They are still lonely as well even if they are busy coming to chill and booze and have some really really bad drunk sex where both parties close their eyes and wish so hard they could say I love you.

Anyway I wish these really sad lonely posts about how women have a million billion options and beta orbits keep buying them houses and cars and sheeeet would just stop. Nope. As many have already chimed in, getting laid and having fulfilling relationships are two very different things. Getting laid is a way to momentarily dull the loneliness. But it doesn’t change the underlying personal and situational factors that lead to loneliness. Adult life in America (and basically most of the West) is structured to be experienced as one half of a pair. Singletons don’t get to do that and often end up feeling lonely because of it. A FWB isn’t going to family holidays with you, isn’t running errands with you, isn’t fixing up the house with you, etc. There’s more to a relationship than having someone come over, bang you out, banter a bit, and then leave. That sort of arrangement lacks the ongoing fulfillment of building a life together through social, material, and experiential intertwinement.

I harp on this point a lot, but the majority of women are competing for the minority of men. The women who get fuckzoned by the men widely viewed as eligible suitors eventually get tired of casual sex arrangements and start really longing for something more. But that doesn’t make the guys they previously saw as unfuckable or undateable any more attractive. The problems of mass/social media expectations inflation and legitimate issues of twenty first century male inadequacy are still present. It’s a recipe for loneliness.

It’s something I’ve witnessed time and time again in my life. Either with women I’ve fuckzoned personally or female friends of mine who just can’t get themselves promoted from FWB status by guys they’re fucking. I feel just as sorry for them as I do for incels and the like. Mate selection/pairing has been broken by dating apps, social media, and the generalized commodification of human experience. Those of us who actually manage to find happiness with suitable partners are beating the odds.

When I quit the crew team at my school (I waited until the end of the season) I lost basically my entire social network (we were still friendly, but not good friends). Sure, I had hookups, but that really didn’t do anything to stop the crushing loneliness I felt. This had nothing to do with a lack of a boyfriend, but lack of friends.

Both men and women can suffer from not having close friends.

Of course there are lonely single women. They exist but there are not as many lonely single women as there are lonely single men. The wall is definitely a thing and many older women are very lonely. There are also women who cannot find a decent man to have a relationship with so they chose loneliness.

The facts you recite are probably true. Where you’ve gone wrong is your conclusion that these women you speak of are not lonely, ie they are satisfied in their relationships and have all the company they want.

I think you’re right that pretty much any woman who wants to can have multiple FWBs and fuckbuddies. Even some STRs and very occasional LTRs. But as we learned in a thread I authored some time ago , that’s not good enough. Marriage is what they all demand.

Second, these women are never satisfied. If she gets him for marriage, he’s boring and unattractive. Because if he’s offering commitment he has few to no other options. If he’s attractive and good in bed, he will not offer commitment because he’s got about 6 other girls who also think he’s attractive and good in bed.

If he’s marriage material he’s boring and blah. If he’s hot and good with his dick, tongue and fingers, he’s not offering her anything more than a good time once every other week or so.

Plus, to hear women talk, a couple of hours banging and then wiping encrusted semen off their backs doesn’t alleviate their loneliness.

Even if he’s a FWB they really like each other and they like hanging out and doing things together, even that’s not good enough. She MUST MUST MUST have marriage. Nothing less will do. If he won’t go all in, if she cannot get him to go all in, she’s “failed.” He still has a barrier up that he won’t let her breach. He has control and she cannot abide that.

Not to mention the growing cacophony of women shrilly shrieking and screaming like banshees about “can’t get a man to commit, they’ll fuck me all day long but they don’t stick around. The men who will commit? Ewww gross.”

Not to mention the train wreck multiple divorce baby mamas dumpster fires on the OLD sites. Not to mention the bottoms of the barrel over at WAATGM.

These girls ability to get hot dick injections doesn’t make them less lonely. Just gives them something to do for a few hours until it’s her turn with Chadwick again.

If you define single as not being in a romantic relationship then having an fwb (even multiple ones) would not negate that because an fwd isn't meant to be romantic.

Loneliness need not only mean a lacking of a sexual connection. Lonliness could mean a lacking of a significantly deeper connection. Sex is not the determining factor of their loneliness.

These guys they're with aren't just "pump and dump" players either; some are but most are interested and looking for relationships too.

There are a nearly infinite number of reasons why a romantic relationship is not pursued even with someone in an fwb arrangement.
