It can happen by accedent and it is no fault of that person if the other one does not make it clear they are not getting their needs met. but once you know what your doing to that other person , it makes you a user and a shitty person not to stop. Either way it's always also the responsibility of the other person to make sure they leave a toxic environment like this as well.

This isn't an "emotional intimacy" thing, it's basic human courtesy. Stop looking at this as a gendered experience - the dude was being a shitty host to his guest. There's no laws saying people have to be a good host, but an inability to know how, or an inability to even recognize what behavior is shitty for a host just suggests the dudes a bottom-feeder.

The dude is 26, the girl was 19. He's older than her, has his own place, his own job, he should have his shit together more than her. The fact that he still sounds like a teenager himself explains why he feels better connecting with teenager girls, rather than other 26 year old women who would recognize that he's badly stunted, socially.

Yes there is 100% a double standard. Most of the western world treats women like children, they just get mad at TRP for explicitly saying it. This woman consented to this, she knew what would happen (that she would get pumped and dumped) but she doesn't care, it's worth it for her to get emotionally crushed as long as she gets to have Chad nut inside her.

The difference between RP men and BP men is that RP men see the woman as a person with agency, it's her choice to fuck Chad even if she knows it will end up hurting herself. He's a coward. If he wasn't a coward he'd have told the truth about why he needs to be alone after sex. If he wasn't a coward he'd call her up and have straightforward conversation about what sort of relationship he is willing to have with her. If he wasn't a coward he'd not be the least bit upset when a girl he previous described as "too clingy" and who he only wants casual sex with just doesn't call him for three weeks... he'd think "oh she's worked it out" and then he'd call her when he wanted to.

I think if he wasn't a coward there is a chance this would end up as a nice little mutually agreed on FWB thing with her and sure it wouldn't be forever but it might be for a year or two until she decides she really needs to start looking seriously for a husband. That said, the persona in that thread is indeed an asshole, but OP is also right insofar as women probably have a far easier time getting away with the female equivalent of this behavior. She is absolutely 100% not entitled to a relationship. Just because you put sex tokens into the machine, doesn’t mean you’re getting a relationship out of it.

However where entitlement ends, and where it starts becoming less of the “entitled” party’s fault is when the other is doing what he is doing. It’s not seeming like he made it clear, knowing that if he did make it clear then she wouldn’t be down for the FWB situation. He is using her for what he feels is his gain. It’s the same thing when attractive women use their orbiters for gifts, emotional tampons, validation, etc while knowing that the guy wants more and not putting a stop to it.

Everyone likes to believe that the user is always in the clear, especially on niceguys and shit, but many of the time the user knows what they are doing and feel that “well they should just figure it out”. Well no, I’m sorry. He is an asshole, and if a woman did it in the stereotypical way, she’d be one too. But considering niceguys is a thing, if the roles were switched I guarantee the men whiteknighting would absolutely take the woman’s side.

He is not an asshole for wanting casual sex. He should just tell her all he wants is casual sex and if she is still interested then the accountability belongs to her as well. He has not really said anything and she is naive and has not much experience with men, he said he took her virginity, so she has some idea he might want more. Either she does not have enough female friends or she is ignoring their advice. He needs to be honest about what he wants and it sounds like he has not been and that is what makes him an asshole.
