Depends on the body parts inked, the imagery and the number of tattoos.

A single creative tattoo in a place that isn't immediately visible when clothed? NBD. A dozen very visible tattoos with wildly varying motifs of which most happen to be cheesy (like, say, the name of your siblings) or trashy (a bunch of stars on your neck or a tramp stamp etc.)? Yeah, most likely low value.

I find tattoos trashy on both men and women. Never been a fan of the tattooed, pierced punk/alt look. It's also a sign of either low social class (convicts, blue collar workers, people with criminal backgrounds), or the "alternative lifestyle" scene I mentioned I'm not a fan of. But those people generally pair up with each other anyway.

I have yet to see a woman with a lot of tattoos be any good in a relationship.

I love ink. I have a lot to tattoos. It’s not that they say nothing about you, it’s that they’re so unique that they say a lot of different things about different people.

Unless the imagery itself is a turn off. Like, I’d walk away FAST from a white supremacy tattoo lol

There is definitely a correlation in my experience, but it's getting weaker since tattoos are becoming more fashionable/mainstream. With men it's the same: tattoos are now more likely to signal that he's a hipster living off of his parents money than that he's a biker or artist.

My older sister has dozens of tattoos. Somewhere around 38 total. She's been in longterm relationships her whole life and has likely only had sex with like 4 dudes, including her husband.

I suspect that those men have stereotypes based on subcultures in their own social circles. They may be right when it comes to women where they live, but things like this can be very different from place to place.

To me personally, it's a non-issue besides aesthetics. High-quality tatoos with a coherent theme covering a large part of the body - ok. Bunch of small mediocre tatoos with no coherent theme sprinkled all over the body - bad, but not a deal-breaker. More an indication of poor taste than anything else.

I'm not a big fan of tattoos at all except that I don't mind maybe one small, inconspicuous tattoo. To me, it's more about my personal sense of aesthetics than it is about what her sexual behavior is or might have been in the past.

One discreet, not visible tat? OK. More than one, all over the place?

Also, lots of tats also coincides for a lot of women with exotic piercings - nipple bars, tongue, nose, lip, septum, clit, labia.

In general, absence of tattoos is a huge plus; there are some exceptions. I knew a woman whose sister is a tattoo artist and made her an intricate sleeve. I can appreciate this as a demonstration of family bonding.

The only thing I'd consider is "debt free". Tats are fine, as long as they're not apparent in a professional environment. So's having had a few partners - at 23, it'd be more unusual for her to be a virgin and that means that something a bit unusual is going on.

It all depends on the tattoos. If they have intricate thought out tattoos, like full sleeves, then maybe they're just into the alt-lifestyle and like tats. I have friends who love tattoos and have spent years planning them out, so imo that's no different than people who spend time and money on other hobbies.

If they have random tattoos that were rash decisions from drunken nights then it would be a red flag and show they have little to no self control. The types of tattoos that would make me reconsider dating them: tramp stamps, shitty tats from their cousin who just got out of prison, lots of tiny cheap tattoos, etc.

I find tattoos generally (with few but genuine exceptions) very unattractive on women, and am worried about the prevalence among women today. I think women are heavily projecting their own attraction to men with tattoos onto men’s preferences. I can’t remember more than one or two men in my entire life saying they find tattoos attractive on women.

A tattoo in an evolutionary context resembles scarring, which may signal experience, perseverance in face of danger and hardened toughness. It may also signal tribal membership and status. It makes sense for women to be attracted to scars and tattoos alike on men. However, men are not attracted to experience and hardened toughness, or tribal membership and status in women, but to youth and fertility, meaning smooth, healthy clean skin without wrinkles. The farthest thing from tattoos.

I have two tattoos on my upper back, a rose and a phoenix worked into one design. It is easily covered by shirts. My fiance thinks it is artistic and well done, but because of placement it is easy to still look totally conservative. I do not plan on getting anymore. So, my tattoos didn't bother him. My best friend, on the other hand, has tattoos head to toe of varying skills levels with no continuity in artistic concepts (like a Freddie Kruger tat on her upper arm and Disney tattoos covering her lower arm). There is no way for her to cover them all. He said that he would probably sleep with a girl who looked like that but would never consider seriously dating her because he would feel embarrassed about bringing her around anyone who mattered. Her N count is about the same as mine but she has had issues with infidelity in past relationships (something I am not guilty of). She is also consistently with very low value men. I think the tattoo collage is indicative of personality traits, including some poor impulse control, which can easily translate to loose sexual behavior.

There is definitely a correlation between women with tattoos and lower class, trashiness, higher n count, SJW liberals, and other negative traits. Saying that, its not as strong as it may have once been because they're fairly popular now. A girl with one or two small tattoos she got in college, fine whatever, but more than that and just expect those negative traits to show sooner than later.

But even disregarding the "psychology" behind women with tattoos, tattoos are simply unattractive and not feminine.

Have you guys ever been to a wedding or a company party and seen how trashy and horrible those tattoos look on women at these events? Yuck, Then I look at my date and she looks feminine and soft without all of that trashy crap ruining the look of her new dress.

My wife has lots of insecurities for no reason. She uses tats and piercing to decorate parts of her body she doesn't like, and apparently it makes her forget she doesn't like these parts.

I don't care. Probably having insecurities in a woman is sign of low value, but I've not yet seen a woman without insecurities, and if anything, insecurities are probably the reasons why I am able to score women above my league, because they think we're looksmatch, and they passive dread themselves without me doing anything. I don't know...

She says she dislikes tats on a man because it's a sign of "too much self care" which is feminine in her eyes. So I guess she's not projecting what she seeks in men.

In my experience, girls with many tattoos tended to be mentally unstable for one reason or another. It felt like they needed the ink as an affirmation anchor. Nothing to do with promiscuity.

Tattoos are a slut tell unless they say "Property of {husband's name}".

Whether that is attractive or repellent depends on the guy. Thirsty guys, and/or guys who like ONS, tend to like slut tells. Guys with abundance, and/or guys who want plates or girlfriends, tend to like them smelling faintly of innocence. And soap.
