Why do you guys keep bringing up celebrities?

quicker to find them on google and make a point.

they do not in anyway represent the average man

nobody said they did. But they represent the potential average man has. It's a good thing to aspire to.

Also their good looks are skewed by their fame.

sometimes yes, sometimes not. Celebrities have contracts and other stuff... they have to be fit and beautiful at all times. Or at very least when they are on screen or cameras. And that's why they improve their looks instead of getting fat and bunch of tattoos on their arms and legs (sorry Angeline Jolie).

I didn't know who he was, Ryan Reynolds is not someone I would even give my number to at a bar.

so says you. It's still a good example how status/fame is a positive asset for any man, no matter his age. So now you know he's a celebrity and you would gladly jump into bed with him. Because hypergamy or how is that thing called.

I never said most males over 40 look like Reynolds. My point is, that a wall does not exist for a man as long as he takes care of himself. And second point is, that as long as you look good, even in your 40s, your dating pool is widest, from 18 to 40 (assuming it stops at 40).

And third point is that those PPD women claim how a 40 year old dating a 20 year old woman is creepy as if shaming is even an argument.

And fourth, I said it is TRP because one of the basic RP ideas is to improve yourself and never get lazy, even when you get older and older. Sure Ryan has tons of personal trainers and stylists, but you do not need a trainer to look as fit as he is. Sure you need some steroids, probably, after the age of 30 especially. But almost any man can look decent, and that's TRP. Thing is, that women here are bitter and jealous of this male "power" to not age as fast as them, so they start shaming them for dating much younger women.

P.S. as a sign of honesty, men are jealous of women being able to ride CC in such a young age and get sex easily. So they also shame them for being sluts if they do this too much..

ask them. They see men having options. They hate it. They shame them. They see themselves losing options when they approach 30s/40s. They can no longer ride CC with chads, because chads reserve their dicks to 20 year olds. So they can choose either average chump next door who works at Costco or reformed TRP guy who now realized his power. They try to pick RP guys but they ignore them. They'd rather try their chances with younger, much younger women than post-wall-ish chicks with baggage.

My issue with this is, if this is just the "basic RP ideas", why are they even worth discussing, what is so special about these ideas?

Because our culture made men lazy and men need to be reminded, over and over again to work on themselves first. Not at attracting women. I wouldn't preach it if I didn't do what I preach myself.

This just reads as if it is a revenge fantasy. I do not think the women on r/PurplePillDebate are trying to pick "RP guys". It is really difficult to take comments like this seriously it almost seems as if it is intended to be satirical, but I do not think that is your intention.

As for what people call "RP" on here, it just seems as if it is basic lifestyle advice at this point.

yes but she won't attract younger man that easily as a man can attract younger woman (all things being equal or similar).

I'm not sure that's true, but all I have is personal experience to go on. About 3 years ago when my lover and I decided to find another man for our relationship, we both made dating profiles. Even though I openly stated I was 29, I had a wide range of men looking to LTR me (of course, the vast majority declined when I discussed what I was seeking) anywhere from age 20-50, with over half being in their early 20s. The guy we eventually met who became our "addition" is 29. But again... this is just my experience, it may not be typical. I'm no great beauty either, about 7.5 according to that chart floating in recent threads lol.

Agreed. I do wonder how much of it is based in sexual dymorphism vs lifestyle choices though.
