Oh and just to outline the extent to which height is an important factor:

When I tried OkCupid, I've been messaged twice by girls who have arranged a date already, but forgot to ask me my height. When I told them honestly I was 5'5", they ghosted me and cancelled the date.
Twice it has happened where I got a girl's attention at a bar sitting down, then once I got up to say hi to her she ends up saying, "Sorry, I thought you were taller."
A friend of mine told me that several girls in my friends group thought I was cute but, "Too short." One particular girl said that she couldn't think of having sex with me because it would feel like she was molesting me. This girl was a year younger than me.

5'5 here, I'm invisible man to most women.

Generally, the most height picky are small and tall girls. All my lays were with average height women. Women that feel generally weak and powerless want to compensate with a tall man, most girls I was with were tougher mentally speaking.

I'm very touchy touchy and taboo less. If a woman does not consider me as a potential sexual partner I eventually find a way to make her think about it and be comfortable about it anyway. :)

5'5" here. Not sure what I need to do, though I am a virgin and have never been in a relationship.

So last year at 19 when I realized how big of a deal being short is (and being an ethnic is), I decided to work on everything I can change. I looked at what was wrong with me:

-I was 120 lbs.

-My hygiene was not good, and I did not take care of my face/facial hair.

-My style was bad. I wore clothes that were too baggy.

-I have a boring life with no hobbies.

So I went out and tried to deal with some of that.

I started to eat more and go to the gym regularly. Now I powerlift as a hobby and can currently squat twice my bodyweight, deadlift 2.5x my bodyweight and bench 1.5x my bodyweight. I'm currently sitting at 145 lbs, at 12% bodyfat. I believe that my ideal body would be ten pounds heavier, at 10% bodyfat.
I started practicing good hygiene, took decent haircuts and managed my facial hair a bit. I found that I look best with a little bit of facial hair, so I maintain that.
I had help from my sisters on changing my fashion sense. They helped me choose pants and shirts that are form-fitting so as to appear cleaner.
I gained three other hobbies, particularly kickboxing, grappling and yoga. I also volunteer at a youth center as a mentor for Syrian youth who need help acclimating to their new home.
I got a car and I currently work a part-time job to give me some income.

Not to mention I'm four years into my University degree and have fairly decent chances of entering Graduate school for a respectable program.

So I've done all of that. Problem is that I'm also introverted, and I'm much more paranoid and jaded with women since I've figured out how much they value height.

I'm not sure what else I can do with what I have, and I'm honestly starting to lose hope.

Apparently I need a lot more than what I have now. I'm 5'4 and I keep reasonably fit, and I have a 6 figure salary. I think I would need to have a seven figure salary and be a short Hulk to start having any luck.

I am short, but it rarely ever occurs to me to think about it. Though I am taller than the average woman, I'm short enough such that it probably has impeded women's interest in me, but I'd never know that because I only know about the women for whom it doesn't. I have been approached and pursued by women taller than I, but it happens less frequently than being approached and pursed by women shorter than I am - adjusted for the fact that I am taller than the average woman.

I have never had a woman specifically mention my shortness as a deal-breaker or impediment to her attraction to me, though I have had women mention it after having approached me or in the process of pursuing me, usually right after the first physical contact. It's almost as if they are surprised by it and are just noticing. They'll suddenly say "You're short" or "You're not actually that tall" as we are strolling somewhere or just standing and talking. One particularly clever one said "I think men are intimidated by women that are taller than they are and won't give them a shot," the first time we were together when she was in very high heels (and therefore slightly taller than I am). I replied "Nah, we don't really care. We have no problem climbing K2 if need be. It's probably the other way around. You're not actually that tall." She took her heels off, put on flats, and started skipping a little as we walked. "No, I'm not."

She, like all the others, brought it up because my height was incongruous with her attraction to me, and she was reviewing the incongruity and weighing it against all her other checklist items. How much of an effect my height has I don't know and probably never will. I do know that it doesn't matter to me because even though I am short, enough women find me attractive that I don't care if some or many don't. Not every guy will have that luxury, but you have to roll with what you've got.

I am 5'8". It hasn't been a problem for me. Women only slightly shorter than me have still been interested in dating me. Women my height or taller never seem interested, though, so it narrowed my dating pool a bit, but I've only been interested in one woman who was taller than me.

5'4. 140lbs. I don't really think I had to do anything unique to attract women. The women I have dated were either my height or shorter. One was slightly taller than me. (5'6)

I do try to poke fun at it saying things like i have to talk louder because peoples ears are far away from my mouth.

When I was living in guam, I didn't have any problem finding women who were attracted to me. In states, different story. I'm also confident that in Asian countries, I wouldn't have any issues.
