Affected my love life: No idea, the men I've dated seemingly want an ambitious, more independent woman like myself. That being said, I have no doubt my marriage would be "easier" if I was more feminine. "Easier" because I suppose I don't think I'm the easiest person to get along with, I can be disagreeable, I can be domineering although I try to temper that now that I'm aware of it.

Cultivate: No, wouldn't help me in my career. To the extent I've "cultivated" anything it would be trying to be less disagreeable, less domineering, for the sake of my marriage. I don't think about that as necessarily "cultivating" femininity, just trying to find the right balance to make our marriage work, so that we both can be happy and mutually benefit. So that it's not just all about me.

FSB’s masculinity profile: I check off lots of those boxes but not so much others. I don’t think I’m emotionally distant – at all. I also enjoy kinky sex but don’t separate emotion from it. I want to have kinky sex with my husband because I am emotionally attached to him. That the sex itself isn’t all emotional with rose petals and candles and soft, sensual touching doesn’t mean it isn’t an expression of love, at least to me. Other than that, I’d say I also don’t really feel I need special “alone time” from him. Yes, I enjoy the occasional night without him, the occasional time to myself in the house, but generally, I prefer to be around him, even if he’s in one room and I’m in the other. In general I would say positively, although obvs. not 100% positively. I've never thought about whether or not I'd have an easier time if I was more or less feminine.

The more overt, noticeable parts of me are the more feminine. Appearance but also personality - I'm talkative af, extroverted, friendly, funny, exciteable. The more masculine parts are perhaps less noticeable, at least on a first impression or to people who don't know me well, but they definitely exist.

I'm basically too lazy to try and cultivate traits I don't have, so...

A couple things, yeah. I know i find female ENTJs much more tolerable than male ones, very generally. It seems to be a personality type that people either love or hate and I think being female leavens it a little, if that makes sense?

As for this whole 'men don't really like feminine women' thing - ehhhh, I dunno. Basically, I don't entirely buy the way we in this sub tend to see things as so binary. This whole 'if you're logical, then you're a robot-y non-feeler' and 'if you're full of feels, you're inherently illogical' - why? And not just on that point, but on many. Some people are neither super logical nor super emotional. And vice-versa.

I basically believe that logical vs emotional (again, for example) aren't inherently gendered, but the expressions of these traits probably are, generally. Another example: being childlike. Not gendered, but the expression of it probably is.

As for the 'masculine' part of spaceboobs post...

I'm very clingy/needy and affectionate with my romantic partner. I don't get jealous or worried when he does his own thing, but I'm likely to be constantly hanging on his arm whenever he's around. I need to be told often that I'm appreciated and loved, I tend to become a bit insecure if I haven't heard it in a while. Family is huge in my life, and I love kids. I get a lot of satisfaction from nurturing activities, even if they're repetitive and seem boring. My emotions are generally predictable, but sometimes they're like forces of nature. I've gotten good at riding out the emotional storms and remaining cool headed. I'm very empathetic/sensitive, I hurt when people around me hurt. I'm good at identifying emotions and "reading a room". Sexually I'm "feminine", in the sense that I love being submissive. I also bond quickly (too quickly, even) through sex.

My libido, the way I banter, and my hobbies are masculine. But, I don't identify at all with the distant, stoic, and ambitious masculine personality type. So, I wouldn't say I'm especially masculine, just not feminine.

If anything, I have had to actively make myself less feminine (by this quiz's definition) to keep my relationships afloat. Some of the biggest conflicts in my relationships have been caused by my clinginess and my aversion to direct communication/tendency to be passive-aggressive. I had to become more masculine in those areas to avoid scaring guys away or frustrating them.

I scored 5's on the questions about taking care of people and about being sensitive/easily hurt. I scored the lowest on questions about logic (I consider myself fairly logical) and getting mad when my SO goes out with friends or plays games instead of hanging out with me.

Oh and I also freak out when my SO doesn't call/text for a while, because I assume everyone I know is dead or dying at all times until proven otherwise. Yay anxiety!

Come by it naturally for the most part, although I have worked to cultivate my feminine presentation. Hair, makeup, clothes etc. are things I've never cared much about (although weirdly I'm very much about aesthetics in terms of decor.)

I am more male-minded I guess, according to that test. I am independent and driven, and logical. But I look feminine. It has done me well in terms of relationships. I wouldn't change a thing.

I am sexually submissive (in a way, I like to be dominated...but I am not passive...that make sense?) but know how to get what I want and won't accept anything less. Well, I can't complain as I've achieved what I wanted (husband and child) and I've never had trouble attracting or dating men. Visually I'm very feminine, but emotionally/mentally I was always the "cool girl" before it became a meme and a slur. I never did understand women who always had drama and hysterics in their relationships. Everything seems so straight forward to me; I have needs, you have needs, we shall state these needs and attempt to achieve them for our mutual enjoyment.

Again, visually its something that came to me naturally. Its only recently that I've realized I'm lacking in some/most? feminine characteristics. I'm submissive and quiet, but beyond that I'm blunt, friendless, incapable of nurturing anyone other than my child (and to a lesser extent, my husband when he requires it), I consider gifts/decorating/nesting/etc useless frippery, the concept of girlfriends seems alien and annoying to me, I'm a sexual freak show despite strong ethics regarding monogamy, and I have no use for a man's provisioning; the idea is insulting to me. In the olden days I'd probably be considered a witch for sequestering myself from the village hens.

-I have a decidedly masculine personality--self-reliant, assertive, emotionally stable, etc. Essentially, I'm exactly the kind of female on whom RP seduction tactics fall flat, because I simply don't think in the way they expect. My personality is a bit much for certain types of men, and I'm perfectly okay with that; I've had plenty of luck with dating. I suppose a bit more femininity wouldn't hurt my chances in the ol' marketplace but would never make that kind of change to my personality for the sake of seeming more attractive.

-On the test, I scored highest for 'likely to get upset or worried when partner doesn't call/text when they said they would' (honesty is the best policy and while a one-time occurrence of this wouldn't be much of an issue, a pattern would certainly arouse my suspicion) and 'expects partners to genuinely care for her' (of course, I am willing to put in effort in equal measure; the second half of the statement also didn't apply to me as I'd be far more inclined to end a relationship and move on than to throw a fit if my partner consistently failed to express adequate affection). Blue, 20, probably ISFJ (IxxJ for sure). And I got a score of 56, so I guess I'm not even half feminine.

Effect on love life: Probably too early to tell? My love life's fine so far. I don't think my femininity or lack thereof has affected it much.
Least feminine traits: I'm not yielding, I don't need frequent reassurances of love, I'm not jealous/suspicious of my partner, I'm not very social, I'm not clingy. A mix of positives and negatives there.
Most feminine traits: Caring about others and remembering details, "expecting" partners to care for me, don't seek out sex for the sake of sex, dependent on a man to provide (thanks dad).
Do I cultivate it?: As of right now no, but reading around on PPD and RPW has aroused my interest. There are things I'd like to improve on (being less stubborn, being more open and trusting), though I'm not sure I associate them with "femininity." I do intend to start putting more effort into my appearance though. :p
Masculine traits I display: "even-keeled" with a tendency to be emotionally distant, needs her space, hesitant about kids (probably an age thing though tbh), doesn't open up easily and feels vulnerable when she does.

42; no pill; ENTP; married for 16 years next month to a man with a strong preference for man-brained women; my femininity score was 46.

(Edit: I think my score skewed higher because I answered a lot of these questions assuming that the "partner" in question was Mr. Arthur. If it was assumed to be a generic "partner," however, I would have scored those answers much lower.)

My lack of femininity made my life harder when I was growing up and had to deal with all the female-brained girls in middle school and high school, but I went to a women's college full of man-brained women and ever since then it has been smooth sailing.

If I cultivated the kind of femininity described in the profile, Mr. Arthur would not like it one bit. I bear far more resemblance to the masculine profile. But I am feminine enough for Mr. Arthur, in the ways that he cares about. Most of it helps, the clingy and emotional part when it comes to my partner is a negative imo, however it has been reduced significantly with the honeymoon phase fading and finally living together (it was especially amplified during his deployment and still very present when I could only see him on the weekends). Most feminine probably the oxytocin and otherwise hormone-induced bond with the accompanying clingyness, need to express love and be loved. Least feminine would either be my complete inability to read or understand social clues or all of my autistic hobbies and interests like programming, science, videogames, analyzing and systemizing human behavior etc.
I try to actively cultivate femininity because it's something that I lack in most regards - It has by now become more natural with my husband, having been especially strong when when I first "fell in love". It is however also pretty much reserved for him alone - I'm still my old robot self to the rest of the world, my family and very close friens being the only ones who get a glimpse of me having a squishy core. I don't intend to become more feminine to the rest of the world - the last thing I want is to waste my energy and resources on strangers, organizing bake sales or caring about all of their emotional lives. I intend to have children, not because they're cute but because I need heirs to carry on my legacy, hopefully conquer the world or at least bump up the average IQ - it's largely hereditary and at the moment stupid people seem to be outbreeding everone else.
I'm very very careful when it comes to letting people close to me, I generally don't like social functions, much less organizing them (my parents insist on a wedding celebration for example - just court house with only the parents was more than enough already imo), I highly value compatibility in both sex and general interests like joint hobbies, and lastly I can be perfectly self-reliant as a software developer if I choose to and generally prefer to be and work alone (my husband being the only exception-again)
My personality and behavior are vastly different with my husband and close family vs. the rest of the world - I'm decidedly more "masculine" when it comes to strangers, calculating and very reluctant to form a connection, however when I do form a bond with someone, it is usually very strong and as soon as I feel comfortable enough, the more feminine aspects come out (usually takes at least 1.5 to 2 years with close friends, hormones seem to have helped to speed it up significantly with my relationship)

i think i got taken advantage of more, when i held more feminine traits. i was also a lot less happy.

i don't like taking care of most other people... but i spoil my husband often. i also like cute things, pink, and decorate often. i can still occasionally be emotional, in a negative way. i also have a sort of "us against the world" mentality when it comes to our relationship (basically, he's the person i'm most close to and open with), so that kind of exclusive closeness can sometimes translate into things that border on clingy. anxiety factors into this too.

i like working hard to achieve goals, and basically, getting things done. i can be rather opinionated and stubborn, which is good and bad sometimes. i can also be a little bit distant, in my own way i guess.

edit: though i usually keep it to myself when it comes up, to avoid making any situation worse, i find that i'm incredibly defensive of those i'm closest to. like an angry, "i will fight this whole room" defensive. it's not something i find either productive or wise to actually let out and take action on... but it's definitely there.

I'm not entirely sure, because I'm not the most social person? Not sure whether it has something to do with femininity, but better social skills does help.

Which aspects of your personality are the most feminine? Which are the least feminine? I think I'm very feminine when it comes to the way I approach problems. I hate confrontation and conflict, so I usually stay back and read situation first, and then I use a less direct approach. Emotionally, I can be very impatient and easily annoyed. I'm less feminine when it comes to dealing with my emotions. I'm very sensitive, but if I got offended by others, I usually bottle them up and keep it to myself. I used to cry a lot back then, I still do, but now, I only cry if I'm alone. Self sufficiency is very important for me. I hate owing people favors, so every time someone helps me, I will always pay them back. I'm also capable of detaching myself from situations and not getting involved emotionally. I also have trouble with reading social cues and emotions, and may offend people unintentionally, so there's that.

Is femininity something you actively try to cultivate, or just something you come by naturally? Definitely the former. I still need to improve on my social skills.

Yeah, definitely the masculine part, especially the practical one. I don't have much interest in shopping for clothes or anything fancy like that. Also true that I am on the fence whether or not I want children.

Love Life: I don't think my femininity gets in the way of how my relationships work out but neither do they improve because of it. I think relationships should be built on both emotional and physical affection and that both partners should work on each aspect to improve their love life. A couple should stand on equal grounds, that means both people paying for meals, both people rationally figuring out issues, and both people working to better themselves during the process.

Most feminine/Least feminine: I think that I like emotional gratification from other people if that counts as feminine and I also like to do things for people if it's not inconvenient. My least feminine traits are probably that I like to think things out rationally and I don't get offended easily. I also don't expect or rely on men to provide for me and don't care what my man's hobbies are. Probably helps that I'm a nerd though.

I personally think that both men and women should be held accountable for their flaws. I think that, especially on TRP, men make sweeping generalizations about women, but then again I can't not say the same thing about sjws. I think it's more important to focus on who people are in the inside vs what their gender is.

Love life: Shrug. I think men find more feminine women more attractive because they are more emotionally expressive, but I consider not being too volatile a plus for actually maintaining relationships once they start.

Feminine personality traits: My mannerisms are very feminine. I often worry about people and get insecure about my personal relationships. I'm very sentimental. Masculine: I'm not very emotional. When I have them, I express my strong emotions only to people I trust. I have little tolerance for bullshit or intellectual dishonsety. I like sex for sex's sake.

I've only been in a relationship with one person, so it's very difficult to say how my femininity has affected it. I think if you have multiple partners it easier to pick up on patterns, but I don't know what is specific to me vs what is specific to my relationship.

According to the quiz, I score highest in wanting children, being social and using indirect communication. I score lowest in clinginess, emotional volatility, and distrust of my partner going out without me.

Personally I think my relationship would probably be better if I was a little more clingy and less social. My partner is an introvert who prefers staying in, and we definitely clash in this regard. It's not something I actively want to change though, because the good outweighs the bad. I'm not sure I could force myself to be less social even if I tried.

Depends on the person I'm dating TBH. Some like me as is. Some prefer a more effusive and emotional person. I is April from Parks & Rec. I barely watch that show, but I've been called her by many a guy who wants to get in my pants.

Affected my love life: I am fucking CRAZY. I am clingy and really emotional and sucked at dating. I knew in my heart that I could never be a "playing hard to get rules girl" and I'd have to find a man who liked my totally "this goes to 11" style of love. My husband gets a kick of me and basks in my adoration. I don't need to have mass appeal. One good man was enough for me. I knew I would cling to whoever I lost my virginity to so I held onto it for a long ass time. Maybe I could have dated more/embarrassed myself less but I wouldn't change who I ended up with for anything.

I think I've had a relatively easy time dating. I think being more extroverted might have made it a more enjoyable process, but I'm sure my boyfriend likes that I'm not, and I wouldn't want to have been more/less feminine.
I tend to be playful and prefer to play a supporting role. I stay up at night worrying if my SO is driving home at 2am and doesn't text me when he's supposed to get in. I'm definitely a people pleaser and am bad at saying no. But I also like math and computers, and tend to not be interested in anything overly romantic. Especially stuffed animals because they are just clutter but if someone gives one to me, now I'm responsible for it and the super irrational part of me doesn't want it to be sad if I get rid of it. 🙁
I try to encourage the parts of feminity that I think are helpful, that make people like me and make my SO happy... playfulness, enthusiasm, really warm cheerful smiles, vulnerability, empathy, etc.
The thing I most identify with in Spaceboobs' post is not caring about birthdays and anniversaries, since they seem pretty arbitrary to me.

I think I'm feminine in terms of being nurturing, caring and 'sweet'. That has helped my love life in that those are qualities people tend to like, and men are people. I don't think I'd have an easier time necessarily.... maybe if I was more forceful I'd have got what I wanted more.
Most feminine, I'd say the nurturing/caring/giving qualities that I have. Least feminine, I'm very logical and rational - I'm very analytical and matter of fact, and can sometimes come across as unfeeling/lacking emotion (I do feel things, just not in the 'normal' way I suppose).
I've never tried to cultivate femininity, I just am the way I am. I actively try and be more forceful/confident because I think being a bit of an eager-to-please pushover is often detrimental to my life.
I identify with being very objective and 'emotionally distant'. Also with being self sufficient and going for compatibility over looking for a provider, but I think that's more about thinking human connection to be far more important than materialistic gains. Also I like to do things on my own, private time and value time when I can do what I want/go where I want without having to answer to anyone - I love that my partner is a gamer because it gives me the time to play my own games/watch my own stuff/internet/etc.
I think people have to remember that as much as the masculine-feminine balance is a 'scale' (which it is good to generally be in the middle of, male or female) its actually more of a sphere of loads of different scales and traits that are sometimes interconnected and sometimes not at all. Being emotional and being caring aren't necessarily connected, being ambitious and being rational aren't necessarily connected, etc. The vast majority of people are all over the place rather than fitting neatly on the line.

I don't think it affects my love life. My circumstances and choices do that. I wouldn't want to be more or less than what I am - being attractive to men isn't everything.

I'm very compassionate, I like to look after people and animals, I'm not at all competitive, I'm more likely to give ground to avoid hurt feelings than stand on it and I'm someone people feel they can be open with. But I'm also very logical, self-sufficient, not that invested in the idea of having children and often looked at as a leader.

I'm naturally feminine. I had a strange upbringing with very little in the way of peers, very 'free' parents and little exposure to the dating 'game' (and little interest also) - so I consider myself quite under-influenced compared to most. My libido is strong, but I'm not assertive about it.

I like to be independent and self-sufficient, but I'm also fine with not sharing everything 50/50 if that's ok with both partners - my mother always earned the bulk of the income growing up and never held that over my dad's head. Tallying up scores is totally abhorrent to me. I'm not particularly social most of the time and I don't like fussy 'pretty' things. I often find myself in discussions with men more often than women - generally I find men more interesting...

I'm happy to be on the more feminine part of the spectrum because I value those traits (warmth, empathy and the ability to be open and compromise) in ALL people and dislike the more masculine traits of competitiveness, aggression and emotional coldness if they are even slightly elevated. I'd rather be (and have others be) too soft, than too hard...
