Do women who actively pursue a sexual relationship lose attraction for the man over time?

So typically, men are the ones who are expected to sexually escalate a relationship from one of friendship to something more. But we understand that some guys are shy or insecure and REALLY take their time with this.

So ladies, if you are the ones who feel it necessary to sexually escalate your dynamic with a man in order to take your relationship to the next level, does this decrease your interest in him over time?

I would think, eventually, that women who have to take the active role in pursuing a relationship would grow to find the man less masculine.
