The advantages in LTRs is for the least economically viable partner, ie, the woman. If you're a woman LTRs generally benefit you more, and it's not like it stops your casual on-the-down-low ground game to get it wet.

How is better to make you a bachelor? More stable life as there's only one person in it, not you having to do all your life management while simultaneously tending to the parasites needs, wants, and demands.

It depends on what a men values, and what his needs are. You love cinstant travelling, meeting new people, have a different woman every night - than being single is a blast.
You want to have children, someone who will take care of you when you are ill, someone who will pay your bills when you get fired, you like living a more quiet life? - than LTR is way better than casual hookups.
It all depends on your character, goals, and emotional needs.

A lot of people are better off alone, yes. But a healthy relationship between two mature adults that actually communicate effectively is going to have a lot more benefits than just staying single.

But whatever makes someone happy makes them happy. I'm not going to tell them a relationship is definitely the way to go.

I don't think it's over or underrated. It depends on the bachelor, I suppose.

My boyfriend when single was working 80 hour weeks, travelling constantly for work and basically living out of a suitcase. There was not much crazy ONS sex involved and he almost cried the first time he came home from a client with dinner on the table and a hug waiting for him. 😂 His life is improved by our relationship and we both know it.

Some men have a different balance, and find the reward/effort ratio worth it more as a perma-bachelor. Some men just don't value romantic companionship all that much, or don't want to build a life with someone.

It's not that LTRs are objectively overrated. Different things suit different people. Most people don't pursue the bachelor lifestyle long term, though. People get old and start thinking about the future.

It's fine. People shit on it but it's not bad, especially if you travel a lot for work like I do.

The best thing is not having to live up to anyone's standards but your own and always being on your own schedule.

Underrated for younger men. Once I hit 35-40 I imagine I’ll want to get hitched.

That being said, I’m not “constantly on the hunt” for women. I don’t want to “constantly” do anything related specifically to women; that’s why I’m a bachelor. The advantage is that using all that time for self improvement and making your life circumstances better makes you more attractive to women. It decreases the effort needed to find someone interested in you. The returns are disproportionately huge honestly but i’m not complaining

Pick right the first time & you’ll be fine. Vet any potential spouse like you’re interviewing them for a job. Make sure you’re compatible on every level and that you enthusiastically want to commit to that person.

Freedom is something that is often underestimated.

There are no critiques or complaints.

I'd say that it's underrated if you have a mindset that suits it. The less traditionally conservative your goals, the better able you are to enjoy the bachelor life, I think. Speaking from my own experience, the fact that I don't ever want children and feel genuinely fulfilled by my hobbies and passions makes this the ideal move for me.

I'd be lying if I said I believed myself to be the norm. I think most men really don't want it long term but many are going to be forced to adapt to it as best they can.

A 25-29 year old bachelor looks glamourous, stress-free.

A 75 year old bachelor looks very different. Not as charming, or attractive. Body falling apart in unexpected and embarrassing ways and he has to consult with strangers whenever he needs to talk about it.

I think your concerns are based on a perspective that seems to prioritize female validation.

Yes you may put in more effort. But this is only true if you are obsessed with p-sleeve and constantly chasing it.

The other issue is that you don't seem to understand that in a LTR, s€x goes out the window anyway.

There have been studies that show, females get bored and lose interest in sex with their partners.

Finally, think about the risk. When you make her your gf, or move in with her or marry her, she no longer has any reason to respect you or treat you well.

In her mind, she has you and if you are together long enough she gets a court ordered steady payout if y'all break up.

You can do whatever you want whenever you want with no one to hold you back
Very little Stress other than bills
No distractions or someone sending you on a "Honey do" mission
You can Buy whatever you want without anyone getting mad that you're spending your own money.
