This video is posted every once in a while, and it's a great repost. All subscribers should see it and think about the messages.

It is your job to be the leader. You cannot stop being better/stronger/smarter. You are not allowed to be weak.

But. You need to be weak sometimes.

If you played a slot machine that always won or always lost you would quickly lose interest. You need to win every so often (and at random intervals) to really hook you. Men are not different than slot machines (for more ways than one). You need to be the leader most of the time, but it's the moments of vulnerability that really grab a woman. Just don't let them happen too often.

Caveat: I applaud Norah Vincent and any other woman who wants to take serious steps in a man's shoe. I think it may help them to better understand and perhaps even through a sympathetic point of view they'll shed some of their negative stereotypes they have for men.

In all honestly, she'll never truly understand what it is to be a man because... (spoiler alert) she's not a man. Her experiment was still at the end of the day seen through the lens of a woman in disguise. Her conclusions and lessons were still skewed to a feminine point of view.

More importantly, which wasn't discussed, she may not have understood the subtle nuances that are part of male behavior and our unwritten vernacular. There are certain gestures and symbolism that men decode about each other that she may not have picked up on.

Also, she underestimates how often she had put up certain red flags around the men in her video. Many of them would have immediately, if not after several minutes, of talking with her that she was either gay, transgender, or something to that effect was awry. Just like a strange wolf entering a new pack, with a strange coat of fur or different color eyes, etc. would be perceived from the rest of the wolves, so would it be the case here (to a lesser degree.)

That isn't to say she didn't learn a great deal. I was pleased to find out that she saw the differences in the sexuality of the genders. And how much easier women have it in the dating field.

Any woman who cannot see how good women actually have it is a fucking moron. That's why I've never had time for feminists. They are trying to pretend that they are somehow oppressed when in fact, they are the most free, most choice-enabled, wealthiest cohort of people that have ever walked the Earth. It's the people on top complaining that they've got it just simply the worst.

Men are expected to work hard, but still make time for family; to be driven, but not too single minded;, to be strong, but sensitive; to be fit, but not vain; to be wealthy, but not stingy (almost contradictory terms)...

Women, on the other hand, are expected to, what? Do whatever they want to do, excuse any personality flaws on "gurl power", and stay reasonably attractive (although even that is not really that important anymore).

With this whole "fat is beautiful" movement, they are trying to remove their one last responsibility. That's all that is left - don't get fat. Get rid of that one, and you're golden.

the only problem i have about this video is it is done back in 06. 06 the internet hasn't really exploded. i mean what social media did we have back in the day? myspace?

also she is a little older. if a 20 year old chick did this today, i don't think she would last 6 months. let alone 18.

it is a great video and i would recomend everyone to watch it. I do think it still does apply today.
