CMV: There is no rape culture in the United States.

I think feminists are incorrect that a rape culture exists in the United States. More so, they inaccurately understand what culture really means.

This doesn't in any way promote or view rape as a part of sexual pleasure, nor does it promote the idea that violence against women is part of sex, what most feminists describe as rape culture.

There are hashtags that support lynching blacks, and killing jews. This doesn't mean we live in a anti-semitic culture or anit-black culture. Any free society has people with all sort of shitty opinions.

Says nothing about people viewing rape or violence against women as a normal part of sex. There are stats for every crime.

Publicly defending celebrities accused of rape just because they’re celebrities and ignoring or denouncing what the victim has to say.

Believing someone didn't commit a rape is the exact opposite of accepting rape as a typical part of sex and supporting violence against women.

A man in Malawi was arrested for having forced sex with 100's of underage girls. However, the catch is he was hired by the parents as part of a normal cultural practice for girls to mature:

The BBC's Ed Butler, who covered the story about Malawi's sexual "cleansing practices", says in some remote southern regions of the country it is traditional for girls to be made to have sex with a man after their first menstruation. Some of the girls are as young as 12 years old, he reported.

My idea here is, simply making jokes about rape and questioning if someone was truly raped does not mean you have a culture that supports or promotes rape.
