AWALT is not a "collection of the most negative traits." If you're a loser or if you become a loser, your woman is going to cheat on you or leave you -- and she should. If she stayed with you over some other, better option, solely because you came along first, completely ignoring the fact that you're a loser, she'd be an idiot, and you'd have no incentive to ever improve.

Women mistreating loser men is a tale as old as time, and this is a good, positive thing. We don't want loser men to succeed despite their loser-ness. We want them to get better. Or fail.

I mean, what's the alternative? Women should be required to stay with the first guy who's "good enough" that happens to come along? Regardless of what comes next? That's stupid. All women don't do that, and all women shouldn't do that.

Here have a shameless plug as to what AWALT actually means.

What is AWALT? Superficially, it’s an acronym that stands for “all women are like that.” Psychologically, it’s a heuristic for evaluating female mating behaviours. How is a heuristic defined? Well according to “the free dictionary” it’s:

“a usually speculative formulation serving as a guide in the investigation or solution of a problem”

This is exactly what AWALT is, a speculative formation serving as a guide in the investigation of female behaviour. The pseudo-intellectual takes immediate issue with the word “all”, and in their grand pedanticism, immediately ceases investigating the utility of the heuristic.

AWALT does not claim that “all women are the same”, this is patently false, and is as such an absurd claim to make. Rather, AWALT presupposes that women are collectively governed by a set of underlying principles which drives their behaviour. It then alludes to the principles, as well as the behaviours which result from said principles whenever they become relevant in discussion.

For example, hypergamy, solipsism, Machiavellianism and immaturity are principles which make up the AWALT umbrella. Behaviours resulting from those principles would be branch swinging, blame shifting and emotional impulsiveness, among others."

It has nothing to do with being angry at guns and everything to do with being careful with them. Therefor it's not worthless.

AWALT is a number of things.

It's a counter-meme for NAWALT, one of the most common arguments invoked by the mainstream/BP for any attempt to generalize observations about male-female differences.
It's a counter-meme against the "women are wonderful" effect.
It's a reminder that men and women are different in ways that do matter. (Mainstream / BP culture tries to minimize this effect which when internalized leads to a lot of frustration in relationships.)
It's a reminder that if a man believes he found a unicorn, a woman who doesn't carry any of the negative traits associated with female nature (hypergamy, solipsism, blame shifting, emotional impulsiveness etc.) he's probably mistaken.

AWALT actually helps people end the anger phase. Why? Because you can't mad at a fish for swimming. It takes being told this a few times, but eventually you just learn to accept things you can't control, and bam...anger phase over.

I've always seen AWALT as non literal way of saying "A lot of women(in fact people in general/but the sub is about m/f relations) have shitty traits and pasts that they often try to hide. Don't get your head lost in the clouds."

No not every woman is like every other. The problem lies in the females being the kinder, more sympa/empathetic, loving, faithful, etc trope that is ingrained in society. TRP's AWALT is a counter to that and is a quick acronym that prevents a much longer acronym like Lots Of Otherwise Normal Seeming Women Have These Bad Traits Be Careful Or You Are Going To Get Fucked Over.

It helps move a common conversation topic along quicker.

I've seen the redpill frequently ignore the fact that older women, like older men can mature.

That is a crux of "The Wall" and AF/BB topic.

So let me flip this for you.

My wife gets pissed at me for not treating her as AWALT. It's probably one of her biggest complaints. "You think I'm not like other women, that I don't need what they need or want what they want, or I won't sometimes be crazy like they are? Fuck you…"

She gets pissed at me for not understanding female nature, because my ignorance of female nature means I am not as sensitive to her needs and I am not looking for ways to accommodate and mitigate for her nature.

Instead, she does something female, and I get caught off-guard and get pissed at her or whatever, and, even though she may be sorry that she pissed me off, she will be frustrated that I don't just "get" her and manage accordingly. She wants to be able to be a woman (with all the good and bad associated) and not have to apologize for it or walk on eggshells around me because I don't understand or accommodate.

Women want men who just "get" them. Understanding and mitigating for AWALT is a great way to show that A) you get them, B) you know how to handle yourself with them, and C) you are strong enough to be their man.

It's similar to AMALT. I wish my wife better understood and could accommodate the challenges I face as a man, like, for example, my sex drive and how I experience love/intimacy/emotional bonding, and the various weaknesses I have to overcome due to my different nature.

Alas, the age-old struggle of relationships.
