Female and male children equally get praise and attention growing up. However, the dichotomy begins when the male reaches adulthood. The woman can get validation from the men interested in her romantically, she can post a sad status and get emotional support, or she can post a hot picture and get compliments on her looks.

Now, to get validation as an adult male, you must be exceptional. You must excel in athletics, business, or entertainment. The average pencil pusher Joe Schmoe goes through life basically invisible.

With there being no outlet for validation for the average man, I see why men often act out in dramatic, and often violent ways. The only way for a man to get validation is prostitution, and that's only physical validation, which is brought about by his own payment rather than by the prostitute's own volition.

Do you think its a problem that men don't get their own validation as adults, and what do you think we can do to change that?
