Rape seems to be a favorite topic here, coming up every so often and being alluded to in many posts. Indeed, many BPers are constitutionally incapable of defining TRP without the word 'rape', despite the fact that TRP and rape are unrelated.

This got me thinking, if we are going to talk about it so often, let's define rape. Unfortunately, i'm guessing that, per usual, people here have different definitions they use, and use the same term to talk about very different concepts. So submit your idea of what characteristics define rape.

To me, the defining characteristics are:

A) Denial of agency

B) Sexual intercourse

So with this definition, it's easy to see why I would not believe that, say, sex with an intoxicated person to be rape.

So what's you definition?

P.S: I'm aware of the legal definition(s). Laws change and are rewritten all the time, I want to know what you think.
