Be a FWB. Do you want a relationship, tell the guy you're looking for a relationship. Do you want to hookup for a while as an alternative to conventional dating hoping to transform the hooking up into a relationship? Just say so. When a guy says "Let's just hookup" or "Let's just be FWB" they mean Let's just hookup" / "Let's just be FWB".

i’m glad they’re doing well.

i met up with one of my exes and met his wife and kids. he went though a lot medically a year or so after we broke up. it was really hard for him. he seemed to have gotten a handle on managing his health and seems genuinely happy.

my other ex is doing well business wise, married a girlfriend that he had before me, they had some kids. he looks like his dad now (not in a good way) but other than that it seems that their business is doing well and from pictures it seems that he’s happy.

what more could you ask for?

if i’m ever in that part of the world i’ll look him up. i wish nothing but good for my exes. they were good guys. i just didn’t love them. they deserved someone that did

Be more sweet and considerate of the next lady you meet. Put her first and be a real man for her. Something my dad used to do with my mom when out on dates, if he was strapped for cash, he would let my mom order anything she wanted on the menu, even if it was pricey. Then he would order something really cheap and small for himself, he didn’t care though as he wanted my mom to enjoy her food. I’d tell him to be like my dad, and when with his lady, put her first before himself.
