There's a large slice of the population that's as nice as whatever they can get away with. For average and above women and hot guys that means they can get away with worse because attraction and morality rarely convene in a meaningful way. This isn't all of them but it's a good amount of them.

Sure they do. Just most men prefer hanging out with other men and most women prefer hanging out with other women. We're more attuned with each other. On average I find women alot less funny, less engaging and less likable than men. But i respect that women may feel that about men. Its just the way the world works.

Particularly, I like my lesbian friends, but I cannot deal with heterosexual woman very long.

I have very little to no interest in social matters outside of necessary and heterosexual women have the tendency of having their lives revolving around that, and only that. Sure, I may help here and there and fake interest, but this tires me out in an hour or two and I have to get away from them.

I only have one male close friend alive today. He is overworking himself to death. But he is nice to speak with. I think I gonna go make a visit, I am in my mothers house after all, we havent seen each other for a long while now.

Most women complain they find men are poor at listening, that most men are socially weird or creepy, and that man they are attracted to are abusive and use them for sex.

They're low intelligence and hang around with other low intelligence people. It's like complaining that everyone at the trailer park has DUIs and smokes too much weed.

Most men complain that women are self-absorbed in conversation, that most women are manipulative and boring, and that women they commit to can be nagging and use them for money.

It doesn't have to be, just never give them money.

These MOST men/women you are talking about are the ones that complain about stuff. You don't see people that say the opposite, so you automatically assume that its true about 90% of men/women, when in reality its just 1%.

Probably an outlier, but I'm an older (by reddit's distribution) unmarried straight guy who actually enjoys being friends with women more than dating. Experience has consistently shown that the dynamics are different in a relationship. I can even see that for women I wasn't really friends with before we dated, just by how they interact with others. And I know it is true for myself.

But I've found my friendships with women to be pretty great. I find women to be better listeners and appear to care more about what I'm up to more than my guy friends. This reoccurring experience with female friends somewhat ironically contrasts with my reoccurring experiences during relationships. Which is why I don't really date anymore, but also don't hold any ill will towards women. Being older helps too.

Honestly, I've asked myself that a lot. Every time I've spent time with a woman, it's like I try, I really really try to enjoy their company, but honestly, it's so rare that I do. Most women have this jaded view on the world and on life. They live in a world where they have such little responsibility, but they don't actually realize it, so they talk to you about these huge humongous problems that they have, which to you are just a joke. They want you to just sit there and listen, not simply hear them, but actually listen to them. Look, men have our own problems, and no one wants to sit there and listen to solveable problems that someone else has if that person doesn't want to actually solve the problem.

Then there's conversations that aren't about problems. Talk to a woman about relationships, and it's like she's talking about driving across the country and you're sitting there trying to discuss how to get to the mall. Talk to her about the gym, and it's like the only thing that exists at the gym is cardio and yoga. Talk to her about cooking, and it's like the only cuisines that exist is chocolate and salad. You can't sit there and talk to a woman about how good a rare steak tastes, because most modern women have never actually cooked a rare steak.

In every relationship I've been in, I felt like it's a struggle with them. Like I need a break at least once a week with the boys, because women seem to have this expectation of you to consistently work at being someone they want you to be. As a man, you can't actually talk to them about the things that matter. When you discuss the future of the relationship, you can't actually tell her the things that matter to you, and the things that matter to her like the wedding, and buying a house, are just afterthoughts for you.

In the end, as a man, I think women offer very little in the way of actual good company. They are fine company, in the same way as having lunch with a client is the client being fine company, as long as you behave in ways they want you to behave, you'll likely end up having a positive experience, but they aren't good company in the sense that you can be yourself.

It is possible but a rare occurrence, what most of each sex enjoy is rather different and their ways of interacting are rather counter productive to the opposite sex, but it is possible when each respect the other

The difficult part is to find a person interested in doing it and respecting of each others difference. In other words. Too much projection.

They can, with the understanding that men (on average) are direct communicators and women are (on average) indirect communicators. Neither is bad or good, they're just different, and both parties have to work to bridge that gap.

For me it depends on the woman. If she’s the type that likes works of art then I definitely enjoy her company. If she’s the type who is into shopping, dancing and partying then I don’t enjoy being around her. Usually the more she is into those latter things, the more I dislike being around her.

I enjoy hanging out with guys who I consider intelligent and when I feel like I can learn something from that exchange. However, I prefer the company of women in general because we share similar struggles and there’s a form of sisterhood that I can’t replicate with men, except maybe my younger brother (he’s such a girl sometimes lol)

I like hanging with girls but I am too polarizing for most of them.....if we aren't fucking then they get mad and basically disappear.

Which is weird listening to the reddit women, because I have very strict\precise qualifications for girls with whom I get romantic, like hanging out with girls, so should be pretty good candidates for mutual friendzoning but that isn't usually the case.

I do have one friend who has TONS and TONs of female friends but it seems to be mostly that he throws great outings, doesn't try to fuck any of them, is always a YES if they need help moving, talking, money, etc.....thing is that these women tend to come and go disappearing when they have BFs or off fucking some dudes...they are completely AWOL, then as soon as the relationships fall apart, they start hitting up my friend again....he has literally like 100 female friends, 10 male friends and zero girlfriends. He isn't gay at all, but was raised by a single mother who seems to have taught him to be the perfect friendzone guy.

People (usually) head to dating, sex and gender subs to complain or seek advice. So you're seeing a disproportionate amount of bad experiences.

When I look around me, most of my friends, acquaintances and colleagues have mixed gendered groups. 'best' mixed gendered friends seem slightly rarer, but it's not unusual for most friend groups/ circles to be pretty mixed gendered.

I do enjoy women's company but only during intense sex, or when they are cooking me food or cleaning stuff up. Femininity is amazing but unfortunately most modern women decide to tuck in their ovaries, walk and talk like men, and become careerist corporatist conformist pumpkin spice latte basic bitches, instead of the dutiful housewives and love slaves God intended for them to be.

When a woman goes full tradcon and engages in wholesome domestic, slightly supplicating activity you can catch a glimpse of what true women are supposed to be. That, and when she's in the middle of an orgasm, are the two times when females of the species are actually tolerable. Not so much when she's attempting to don the mask of icy workplace professionalism, which only ever really suited men.
