Discussions about politically incorrect preferences always create a shitstorm within SJW communities. On one hand, feminists don't want to acknowledge the fact that all preferences have to do with inherent biological desires - because that would weaken their progressive narrative.

On the other hand, they get wet for guys who exhibit these natural Alpha biological traits. The paradox gives feminists a huge headache and makes them moody.

I think it's more "buys into social conditioning" then insecure. I used to think this way when I was young and didn't know much about dating because everything reinforced it to me as being necessary. Behold the final answer of any woman who's asked to critically examine her own preferences. Her head starts hurting and she gets irritated because you're asking her to think with more complexity (and with more self-responsibility) than she's used to.
